Let's Pretend We Never Happened

•TESS•

   She let out the breath she was holding for a long time as she stepped into the hallway. She smiled remembering her rendezvous with Ashton and was somehow a little less tensed.

   The twins soon appeared beside Tess, with small bundles of tulips in their hands. Their mother, told them to walk in front of Tess and one of them named Hannah clutched Tess' dress, not wanting to separate from her aunt.

   "Aww Hannah you can stay here it's alright" Tess spoke to the little toddler.

   "Ugh kids just don't listen these days" their mother, Scarlett spoke.

   "Boo" Hannah showed her mother a tongue and chuckles filled the air.

   "But I want to go meet uncle Ash" Veronica the other twin spoke. She confessed one day that she didn't like the name Ashton so she would call him 'Ash'

   "No you have to walk with your aunt and then you can meet him after the ceremony" Scarlett told her and pulled both the kids to stand together, in front of Tess.

   "Mum stop being bossy pants" Hannah spoke who was pretty similar to Jane, the famous character created by Charlotte Bronte.

   "Wow honey you look amazing" Tess' dad appeared before her, slightly panting.

   "Thanks dad and where have you been?"

   "Well my only daughter is getting married, of course I'll check if everything is fine"  he smiled at her amiably. He was her best friend and always supported her decisions.

   "And I thought that was the job of the wedding planner" Tess spoke sarcastically and smiled at her dad.

   "Everyone please take their positions, it's almost time" the wedding planner yelled as she appeared in the hallway.

   "Are you ready Tess?" She asked.

   "I think so" Tess said but she grew more impatient and nervous as this was the final call, before the gates would open and she would walk down the aisle.

   "Great then, bride ready" the wedding planner spoke into the little microphone attached to her clothes and left after giving everyone a thumbs up.

   Tess connected her hand with her dad's arm and he let out a breath, "Never thought you'd be so grown up"

   "Your mother would have been so proud of you" he said and Tess smiled widely. A little tear pricked her eye but her dad was fast enough to wipe it off.

   "No Tess she wouldn't be happy to see you cry on your day and remember she's always with us, watching us" 

   "Okay okay everyone ready and go" soon the gates opened and the flower girls followed by the maid of honour and bridesmaids walked.

   "Relax and keep calm. If you and Ashton could make it this far I'm sure there's nothing to worry about now" Scarlett said and gave Tess a flying kiss before walking in front of her.

   "I hope you're ready Mrs. Williams" her dad said and Tess nodded her head before they started walking.

   The doors opened and Tess could see the long aisle now. She stared from afar at the beautiful chandeliers and petals that were decorated, with the beautiful yellow and pink lights creating an auspicious view.
