I was 11 years old. I hadn't had a paranormal experience in years, but it was a blue moon I believe. I think I even have a picture of my sister and I was standing in front of the moon earlier in the night.
Anyway, I distinctly remember focusing on my blinds and recognizing how bright the light was compared to other nights.
My dog began to bark at a wall and I shooed him away thinking there was a squirrel or something outside. I turned around to go to sleep, not too close to drifting asleep, but I heard a whisper in my ear.
It was nothing I could put into words. It sounded like babble, but I remember after a minute, I shot out my bed, yelling for my parents with my dog barking.
Now to this day I can't sleep without a light on. I've switched sides of the bed and my dog never goes to that area anymore.
