I actually got this idea whilst watching Eastenders 😂 what a typical Brit I am! Also, sorry for the lame picture quality!

Something wasn't right. The atmosphere was...different. I reached out to wrap my arm around Judy but I realised she wasn't there. I opened one eye to see that she wasn't sleeping next to me and I frowned in confusion. Sitting up in bed, I rubbed my eyes and re-opened them to see Judy sitting at the end of the bed, her knees pulled up to her chest. She looked like she was rocking back and forth and, from the sound of it, it appeared that she had been crying.

Concerned, I pushed the covers off of me and crawled up behind Judy, noticing that her eyes were wide and glistening with tears, which only made me even more worried.

"Hey, hey Judy," I said softly, putting my hand on her shoulder.

She immediately jerked away from my touch and I moved up next to her, letting my legs hang off of the bed.

"Judy, it's me," I whispered gently, taking her paw in mine.

She didn't try to move away from me. Instead, she just sat there, keeping her eyes trained on the darkness in front of her. She looked terrified, the fear reflecting in her delicate purple eyes as she blinked, allowing more tears to fall from them.

"Judy, what's wrong?" I asked, running the back of my paw along her cheek.

Up until that moment, it seemed as though Judy was locked in a trance. It was only when I touched her face that did she jump up, her breathing sporadic as well as her movements.

"Hey, hey, hey, calm down. It's me, it's Nick," I reassured, holding my paws up in surrender.

Judy looked down at me, squinting in order to examine my face before her body started trembling.

"N-Nick?" She asked and I nodded.

Suddenly, Judy burst into tears, lunging towards me and wrapping her arms around my neck before burying her face in my chest. Taken aback by her actions, I hesitantly wrapped my arms around her torso before relaxing and hugging her tightly.

"Ssh..." I cooed, running my paw up and down Judy's back while the other one stroked the fur on her head. "It's ok, I've got you now," I whispered gently into her ear.

"N-Nick, I-" she started, but was cut off by a sob escaping her mouth.

I hugged Judy tighter as my worry grew worse and worse. I had seen Judy cry before but that was just one time, and not like this! It was so out of character for her to just break down like this and the worst thing was, I had no idea why.

"It's ok, sweetheart," I reassured, keeping her within my embrace. "Just tell me what happened."

"I-I th-thought I l-lost you," Judy managed to say through tears and I frowned in worry.

"What do you mean?" I asked, trying to sound soft rather than demanding. After all, it was my girlfriend who I was currently hugging and trying to reassure.

"Th-there were men, l-lots of them. And one of them tried to t-take you away, and I couldn't get to you. And th-they took you and you left me. Please Nick! Please say you won't ever leave me!" She begged, clinging onto the fabric of my shirt desperately.

I didn't know what to say. Looking down at the terrified bunny before me, I could tell that she was an emotional wreck right now and the fact that me leaving her even crossed her mind made me feel awful for her. I've told her plenty of times that I would never leave her ever and she was crying her little eyes out about it. It made me want to cry.

"Judy, look at me," I ordered softly, lifting her face up to lock with mine. "I will never leave you, ever. It was just a stupid nightmare that means nothing. What we have is too sacred to be torn apart by some illusion and I won't let it! Judy, you know I love you, more than anything. And I won't allow you to torture yourself overnight over what you know isn't true. Ok?"

Had those words really come out of my mouth? I know I've never been one for speeches, but it felt necessary. And it seemed to be working, as Judy's body stopped trembling and the magical gleam in her eyes returned. Her nose twitched as she smiled at me, and I smiled back before kissing her lightly on the forehead and wiping her tears away with the back of my hand.

"Now," I said, still smiling at her. "Come back to bed. We have a busy day tomorrow."

Judy laughed a little and wiped her eyes before nodding. We both climbed back into bed and hid underneath the covers, me wrapping my arms around her little waist before snuggling up to her and resting my head near hers.

"Goodnight Judy," I said, hugging her a little tighter.

"Goodnight Nick," she replied, before we both fell asleep.

I think this one-shot is my second favourite out of the ones I've written. Distraction is probably my first.
