I heard the door open and close as soft breathing also reached my ears. I could feel something placed on my chest as I reached a hand on it. It was warm.

I opened an eyelid and looked down.

My baby girl was sleeping peacefully, on my chest as my eye wondered and saw someone by the doorway.

My beautiful wife, Luce.

She smiled warmly at me before approaching us and kissing Nashi on the forehead.

"Don't I get one too?" She nuzzled her nose with mine. "Luuuce, that ain't enough!" My wife melodically giggled at me as she sat down on the bed beside us.

"Today was a tiring day at work, it's nice to see this when I get home." Lucy said as she sighed in relief after removing her jacket and lied beside us, wrapping her arms around Nashi whilst burying her head on he crook of my neck.

"A lot of things happened... It's like time just went by very quickly." She hummed. After a while, I heard soft snores coming from her. I smiled and placed Nashi, right in between us with her arm still wrapped around her as I wrapped mine around them.

I will protect my family, no matter what. They're all I have now.
