Chapter 29; Pool day

"Alright... Where's Felix?" Casey asks who is sitting in Jordan's seat at the teachers desk. He's still not back yet, so Casey is the teacher for now. Everyone looks over at Felix's empty seat which is next to Jace. Casey looks at Jace for an answer.
"I don't know! He wasn't in the dorms when I woke up this morning!" Jace said
"Sorry I'm late!" Felix said as he ran into the classroom, his backpack unzipped, himself looking like a mess.
"Where were you?" Casey asks as he watches Felix put down his things at his desk. Felix grabs out a stack of papers and plops it onto Casey's desk;
"This is a 40 page Essay for why I believe the chickens should be treated better and that we should switch to organic food" Felix said looking exhausted, he went back to his seat and sat down.
"How late did you stay up last night to write that?" Jace asked in shock
"Well, I started around 7:00 PM, and ended 5:00 AM..." Felix said almost falling asleep
"You only got three hours of sleep??" Melody asked worried for his health
"Yeah, but I'm fine! I'm just...." Felix started but stopped as he started to fall asleep
"Felix!" Jace said waking him up
"Huh? What? Where am I?" Felix said as he jumped out of sleep
"Why did you stay up past curfew?" Mitch asked overhearing, him and Carly are standing on the sides of the classroom.
"I messaged Jordan on the computer and he said I could if it was for information and something important" Felix said starting to wake up a little
"Well you obviously didn't tell him what it was about because that's defiantly not important" Joey said his elbows on his desk looking bored
"It is too important! Felix said getting mad
"I'm sure the chickens would rather be killed than be 'saved' by you" Joey said rolling his eyes
Felix gave him a look and turned around
"Alright enough! We have some work to do" Casey said getting their attention

"Felix wake up!" Casey yelled getting mad at Felix who's head was on his desk
Felix slowly lifted up his head and rubbed his eyes
"This is the forth time already!" Casey said
"Maybe he should go to bed early tonight, when everyone else is doing whatever. No stupid little truth or dare games for him" Mitch said bringing up the idea.
"Finally someone else agrees with me" Joey said not too fond of the game either
"Just go back to doing your test" Casey said annoyed
Everyone is silent as they continue their test. Felix finishes first and flips his hat the other way so it cover his eyes. He puts one arm on the desk and lays his head on it as he falls asleep. Joey rips little pieces off of the test not wanting to do it thinking it's stupid. He looks at Ella and Zoey who sit two rows in front of him, he throws a piece and it hits Ella perfectly in the back of her head
"Ow!" Ella said as she rubbed her head.
Joey snickered silently to himself
"What's the matter?" Casey asked looking up from the book he was reading
"Something hit my head" Ella said as she put down her hand from rubbing her neck
"Are you bleeding? Is someone dying?" Mitch asks
"No.." Ella said looking down
"Then I don't see why there's any reason to bring attention to it" Mitch spat back
Joey gave an evil grin at Ella getting in trouble

"Alright is everyone done?" Casey asks
Everyone nods yes
"Alright Carly will come around to collect your papers" Casey said
Carly walked around collecting them
"Of course he has Carly picking up the papers.. Because he's his girlfriend and all" Zoey whispered to Ella clearly annoyed
Ella frowned
Zoey noticed Carly coming, she picked up their papers and started walking towards Joey. Zoey quickly lifted her foot in front of her making Carly fall the papers flying everywhere
Zoey smiled as she saw Carly on the ground looking like a fool, papers everywhere
Casey looks up at the noise and sees her
"You okay Car?" Casey asked using her nickname only he calls her
Zoey cringed at the nickname
That's stupid she thought, although she was really doing all of this because of jealousy. She noticed what she was doing and felt bad but it was too late now.
"Yeah, I'm fine" Carly said as she grabbed the last of the papers that were on the ground and brushed herself off. She continued to walk over to Joey who was leaning back in his chair.
"Where's your paper?" Carly asked
"Where's your dignity?" Joey asked not looking up
"Very funny" Carly said
"Now where's your paper?" Carly asked again a little more demanding this time
Joey sighs and grabs out a crumpled up paper with rips in it from making little balls of paper and throwing them.
Carly grabs the paper and looks at it
"It's not even finished!" Carly said as she looked at it
Joey shrugged and went back to playing with a small string
Carly sighed and walked back to Casey giving him the papers
