"Hey Phil, it's Dan. So, I wanted to know if you would like to go to a baseball game with me. It's this Friday at 7pm, so just let me know. Okay, bye."

I set down my phone taking a deep breath. I don't even know if he likes sports. What if he says no? What if he's busy? What if- My thinking got caught off by my phone ringing.

"Hello?" A small voice said.

I smiled, "Hey Phil."

"Hi, sorry I didn't pick-up I was in the shower."

"Oh it's okay, did you, did you get my voicemail?"

He giggled, "Yeah I did, I would love to go with you."

I let out a breath i didn't realize I was holding, "Oh really? Well great. So, it starts at 7 so you can come over around six, six thirty if you would like."

"Okay cool. I can't wait. I'll see you then."

"Okay I'll text you my address."

"Okay bye Dan!"

"Bye Phil."

We hung up and I smiled to myself. I never would have actually thought he would have liked to go out with me. The days flew by and I became more and more anxious. I was sitting on my couch chewing on my thumb bouncing my leg up and down. Out of nowhere there was a knock on my door startling me. I jumped up and rushed over to answer.

"Hey!" I cheered as I opened the door.

"Hi Dan!"

I stepped to the side letting Phil into my apartment. He looked around at all the stuff I had on my counters.

"Would you like something to drink?" I asked awkwardly.

Phil shook his head, "No thank you!"

"Okay, let me find the tickets and we can head out!"

Phil sat down at the breakfast bar as I walked into my bedroom searching around wondering where I left the tickets. I went through all my drawers and trying to find the two slips. I groaned and walked back to the kitchen.

"Is everything okay?" Phil asked.

I nodded, "Yeah, I may have misplaced the tickets."

Phil gave me a lopsided grin, "It's alright. I can help you look?"

I shook my head, "No thank you. I think I put them in these drawers."

He smiled at me as I dug through the drawers one by one knowing I'm making a fool of myself. I dug and dug and dug until it hit me. Literally, I stormed out of the kitchen and ran into my coat rack.

"I remember! I put them in my jacket so I wouldn't lose them." I scratched the back of my neck.

"Well, I guess it worked!" Phil laughed.

I smiled at him, "Are you ready to go?"

He nodded and I showed him to the door before exiting myself then locking the door behind me.  We took the elevator and headed out to the street. It didn't take too long to call over a taxi and hop in to head to the game.

"Holy shiz." Phil breathed when we got out of the taxi.

The stadium was huge and the queue was extremely long. I inaudibly gasped when I turned and look as well.

"I guess we didn't get the memo that we had to get here a little early." Phil chuckled.

I shrugged laughing along and while starting to walk towards the line. He followed behind me taking bouncy steps. We stood in line for 45 minutes, having many random conversations, before reaching the entrance.

"Well here we are!" I exclaimed.

"It's so big!"

I chuckled, "That's what she said."

Phil playfully hit my arm, "Oh shut up!"

We found our way to our seats and sat down, only missing the first inning. We sat in our seats watching the game. I had absolutely no idea what was happening. Phil looked like he was enjoying it, so I pretended to know what was going on.

"It's the ninth inning!" Phil clapped.

I looked over to him and he smiled, "It said it on the board."

I laughed, "Phil, can I be honest with you?"

"Of course!"

I took a deep embarrassed breath, "I have absolutely no idea what's going on. The most athletic thing I do is watch Free! if I'm being honest."

Phil giggled, "That's okay Dan! I have no idea what's happening either."

I smiled at him before hearing people cheer, they had the kiss cam going. Couples were kissing and it was adorable.

"Dan." Phil spoke quietly pointing at the screen.

It was us. I smiled and pulled him into a quick kiss hearing everyone around us holler. When I pulled away he was pink.

"Sorry." I mumbled.

He shook his head, "Don't be. I'm glad you did it."

"Hey, once the game is over, do you want to come over and watch Haiykuu?" I asked.

"I would love too Dan."
