Addie's P.O.V.

Breakfast the next morning was an interesting affair. The house elves had outdone themselves as usual with mountains of toast, porridge, and bacon, but that wasn't the only thing drawing the gazes of the students. At the Slytherin Table, there was a rather noticeable scorch mark on the seat that was left from the Cruciatus Curses and three figures: Rosier, Dolohov, and Travers were sulking behind their plates, sporting a number of colorful bruises. It looked as if they had visited a furious artist from all the blue and black markings on their faces. I bit into my toast with satisfaction.

"I wonder what happened to them," Izzy whispered in hushed voice, her eyes lingering curiously over their wounds.

"Who cares," Will said bracingly, "they are all a couple of jerks anyway. My accolades to the person who beat them up."

Feeling rather amiable, I nodded in agreement, but my eyes strayed elsewhere. Tom Riddle was hunched into his book as usual, but this time, his eyes did not follow the words, but flitted over me.

"Attention," I heard Professor Dippet's cheery voice, breaking through my thoughts. Looking up at him, I saw him beckon towards a scrawny, mean-looking man with a goatee. "Caretaker Penning had found a bucket full of doxies while he was attempting to clean the dungeon. Due to the escape of these creatures and the addition of a dozen dung bombs, the Slytherin Common Room is currently out of bounds. Potions classes are also canceled for the time being."

The Four Houses were all stunned into silence. Who would possibly commit such a deed? Well, the answer probably was inside a certain redhead named Addie Robins. Winking deviously at the scowling Tom Riddle and his cronies, I happily munched on my toast before slinging my bag over my shoulder and following Izzy and Will towards Transfiguration.

"I wonder who set off those pranks," Will said thoughtfully, being wholeheartedly innocent of my doings in Durmstrang and Beauxbatons.

"Yeah, I wonder..." Izzy said sarcastically, giving me a saucy wink.

"Well, at least we have a free period," I said off-handedly, trying to divert the topic from me.

"Adding that to the fact that we have a Hogsmeade visit today, I would say that today is a great day!" Will said happily, before skipping towards the spiral staircase. However, something, or rather, someone blocked our way.

"Well, well, look what we have here," drawled an unpleasant voice accompanied with a swathe of blond hair. A sneering boy halted in front of us with the bruised Travers and Dolohov, who were cracking their knuckles threateningly.

Izzy and Will froze, their eyes widened in fear. Why they were afraid of a blond prick, I have no idea. "Looks like three Hufflepuffs are blocking our way, what do you think about that, Rosier?" The third bruised boy came forwards, his eyes narrowed menacingly.

"I think we have to teach them a lesson," Rosier sniggered, his hand plunging into his robes.
