"So, is it fair to say you're offically together now?"
"Is he a good kisser? I mean, Didyme was always smiling whenever I saw her."
"How do you feel about him?"
"Do you even like men?!"

"Guys! Slow down, we're having dinner this evening," I hold up my hands as a way to silence them. "Ooh, you have to wear your shirt and trousers. Style your hair again, take a shower," Athenadora suggests. "What's wrong with my outfit?" I look down at myself in defence. I'm wearing skinny jeans with a white t-shirt and a long sleeved black and blue checker shirt on top. I'm wearing my favourite converses.

She looks me over and shakes her head. "That won't do. Like I said, shirt and trousers. I'm sure I could persuade Caius to lend you a tie." She thinks it over for a second. "I think Lee should just be herself." Sulpicia cuts in and I give her a grateful nod. "Exactly, I should just wear the outfit I'm wearing now." The words are barely out of my mouth when Athenadora cuts in again.

"No! You can't! Marcus will want you to make an effort!" She preaches. I roll my eyes, and she snaps. "Do not roll your eyes at me! You work for me! You should treat me with respect!" She grabs at my face gently, in a firm but playful manner. "Alright alright, I get the idea!" I stand to leave. "Where are you going?" She asks. "To take a shower, like you told me to." I mumble. "I only shout because I care!" She calls back.

Back in my room, I tower dry my hair while sitting at my desk. I've already ironed my shirt and trousers, I've got an hour to finish up. Once my hair is more or less dry, I grab my hair gel from the bathroom and get ready to dab some on, before there's a knock at my door. "Oh for fuck's sake." I get up quickly, cursing on the way to my door. "I'm preparing for a date, doesn't anybody understand? I need a bit of priva-'' I open the door and there stands Caius.

"Privacy," I finish. He narrows his eyes at my appearance, damp hair and boxer shorts. He gives a short look at my bare chest before shrugging it off. "Athenadora sent me. To give you this," He holds out a red tie. He comes past me, into my room, passes me my shirt. I put it on quickly, with a quick spray if deodrant. "Here." He eases my collar and fastens the tie for me. He steps back, taking me in. "Wonderful. Now all you have to do is put on some trousers." He smirks.

"Very funny," I pull them on quickly, along with my socks and shoes, then I do my hair. He stands before me the entire time. "Enjoying the performance?" I snark. "Thoroughly," He smirks. "Such an entertainer." He compliments. I stick up my middle finger. "Now that was naughty." He scolds playfully. I tut at him. "Ready?" He asks. I nod. "More or less," I shrug, though my insides are quivering. "Come along then," He pulls me out of the room.

"Athenadora has told me lots about you," He comments, as we walk alongside each other down the corridor. "Has she?" I wouldn't have thought of that. "Yes. She seems very fond of you. She told me to wish you luck this evening." He smiles. "Well, I'll speak to her tomorrow about how everything went." I promise.

"She says she loves your tough attitude, the way you stand up for yourself. She severely dislikes your lack of manners and your dress sense. I personally thought you had to dress like a man if you looked like one." He smiles again. "Well, I do have a manly body when it comes to shoulders and legs and that sort of thing," I shrug. He nods. "Ah, here we are." He leads me over to where Marcus is standing, nervously, wearing a suit.

He turns to look at me and smiles. "Lee. You look so handsome. As always." He compliments. "Doesn't she just?" Caius agrees. "Well, have a wonderful evening." He smiles, before departing down the hall. "Let's get going, shall we?" He leads me back to the garage, and once again, opens the passenger door of the Porsche. Once belted in, we head off to wherever we're going. "So," I fiddle with some buttons on the dashboard. "Where are we going?"

He places a finger to his lips, smiling. "It's a surprise." He teases. "I hate surprises," I huff, sliding down in my seat, slouching, because I know how much he hates it. He tuts at me. "You'll get bad back problems." He warns again, I flip him off. "Yeah, I know." I nod. "Don't give a fuck," I hold out my arms. He tuts again at the language. "Bad girl," He scolds. "I hate swearing." He sighs. "Well you'll have to get used to it." I huff again.

"Grumpy. Ill mannered. Short tempered. But I still think you're wonderful." He smiles warmly. "That's nice," I say flatly. He groans. "My Lord! Do you ever say thank you?" He's smiling slightly, amused. "You're so different from......Didyme." He murmurs. "Yeah, there's one big difference between me and her. She actually looked like a woman." I joke, and he smiles. "Ah, true. But you are both attractive in your own way." He points out. "Hmm, if you say so." I flip him off again.

He sighs again as he pulls up outside a restaurant. "Here we are," He announces. I jump out before he can open the door for me. We walk in, we're lead to a table and there's a bouquet of roses in the centre. "For you," He hands them over with a flourish. "Thank you," I mutter, but he heard. "Did you just say thank you?!" He looks astonished. "Close your mouth, you look gormless." I snap. "Ah, it knew it couldn't last long. You're already back to your usual self." He tuts as we sit down.

"Fuck up, Marcus," I snark back. "Attitude," He warns, smiling. "I hate you," I scowl. "Love you too," He teases, and I playfully smack his arm. "And so it begins, the battle of the arm slaps. Human versus vampire." He grins. "Keep your voice down. If the waiter finds out what you are, we'll be kicked out." I hiss. "Yes, I highly doubt that." He mutters, as our waiter makes his way over. "Hello, I'm your waiter for this evening, what can I get you?" I get ready to place my order, when our waiter gasps.

"Shit, Lee? Where've you been? Jeanie's been worried sick." He says. I look up at him and groan.
Oh shit.
Our waiter is Liam.
