Chapter 22

(Ali's P.O.V)

After being dropped off by Dylan back at Ava's house, due to her not being home, I decided to check my Facebook account. How long has it been since I was last here, a few weeks? Maybe even more.

As soon as I'm logged in, the thing that catches my eye are my six new friend requests. Hmm.

The arrow hovers above the notification bar as I click to reveal who has requested to be my friend. I can't help but feel like Gammy right now, I can't even remember how to use this.

As my eyes scan over all the names, I notice that Dylan has already changed his name on here-- I didn't even know he had an account on this thing. I accept Dylan, Alex, Ana, Paris and Chase. I knew Chase's name had Carter somewhere in it, maybe not his forename but I still got it right, so maybe I'm not so bad after all.

My eyes scan over the person who is yet to be accepted, Jason Scott. Why the hell is he even adding me? He seems to be mysteriously popping up everywhere recently and to be honest, it's quite unsettling. I'm not sure I'd feel so safe having Jason around me 24/7.

I ignore his friend request just to piss him off and am soon distracted by an incoming inbox.

Dylan Scott: It's about time ;)

I smile at the fact he's used a winky face, so not Dylan. I quickly type my answer.

Alison Vincent: Huh?

Dylan Scott: You finally accepted my friend request, it's been what, a month?

His reply makes me laugh, ok, I stand corrected, I am so bad after all.

Alison Vincent: Sorry, I've been busy dealing with long lost friends and stubborn, easily angered, over-protective boyfriends.

Dylan Scott: Sounds like you have your hands full. Although, I wouldn't go as far as to say he's over protective. I prefer the term 'thoughtful'.

I can practically sense his smirk through the screen.

Alison Vincent: Thoughtful, huh?

Dylan Scott: Yep, so thoughtful, in fact, that your attentive, short-tempered and thoughtful boyfriend has already gotten his very special and very beautiful girlfriend her birthday present.

Can my grin get any wider? I quickly type back my reply.

Alison Vincent: And what would that be?

Dylan Scott: I forgot to add surprise-loving to my wonderful list of qualities, you'll have to wait and see ;)

Alison Vincent: I can't wait, you know how I get with my curiosity. Pretty please with a cherry on top will you tell me?

Yes, I'm a very curious and inquiring person, sue me.

Dylan Scott: I'll show you tomorrow, on your birthday. Anyway, I have somewhere to be now so I've gotta run baby, I love you and I'll be looking forward to seeing you tomorrow x
