I woke up the next morning in my bed alone. I didn't sleep very well last night without Jimi next to me. It was about 8:00 and I knew that any minute Kimberly and Kelly would come busting into my room to wake me up. I enjoyed the quiet for just a few more minutes.

A few minutes later, Kimberly and Kelly opened the door and jumped on my bed.

"Wake up!" Kelly yelled jumping on the bed like a five year old.

"I'm already awake" I said with a giggle.

"Come on let's get ready" Kimberly said and grabbed my arm. She pulled me out of bed and down the stairs to the living room. We decided to all get ready at the house and then go over to the church when we were done.

My mom had coffee going and handed me a cup.

"Thanks Mom" I said.

"No problem sweetie" I said.

We ate a little breakfast and then the hair and makeup people arrived. We got ready in the living room, but decided to get dressed at the church. Once everyone's hair and makeup was done, we headed over to the church.

We arrived at the church and I wanted to look around first before I got dressed. Jimi and the guys aren't coming for another hour so I had some time to walk around. I walked up by the altar that had a beautiful arch made up of different kinds of branches with white daisies and white lights woven into it. The church pews had white tool on the arm rests with light pink rose bouquets on the top. The light colors really complements the dark wood of the pews and trim of the church.

I was standing in the front of the church when Kimberly walked up.

"Hey, you should probably get dressed soon" she said.

"Ok" I said quietly.

"What's the matter?" She asked.

"It's nothing" I said and started walking back up the aisle. Kimberly grabbed my arm lightly.

"Hey, it's not nothing" Kimberly said softly and I turned to face her.

"Talk to me" she said in a comforting voice.

"What if he doesn't show up?" I asked seriously.

"Are you serious?" she asked, thinking I was joking. I nodded my head.

"Karen, that man loves you so much. He looks at you like you are the only woman in the world. Someone would have to kill him in order for him not to show up to marry you today. He's going to show up" Kimberly said and I smiled. Then she gave me a hug.

"Thanks Kim. I don't know what I would do without you" I said.

"What are best friends for?" She said and giggled.

"Where did you even get a crazy idea like that anyways?" She asked.

"I don't know. I know he loves me, but I couldn't help but think about all the movies I have seen where the guy leaves the girl at the altar for someone else. It's stupid, I know, but it's something that was in the back of my mind and I couldn't help but think about it" I said.

"It is defiantly stupid because he would take a bullet for you" Kimberly said and I laughed and shook my head.

"Let's get you dressed" Kimberly said and we walked to the bride's room.

I put on my dress and my Kimberly zipped me up. Then my mom walked in.

"Baby, you look beautiful" She said with tears in her eyes.

"Thanks Mama" I said and she walked over to me and gave me a hug. Then everyone else came in. Rebecca was the last one to walk in.

"Kim, Phillip told me to tell you that Jimi needs to talk to you for a second" She said.

"For what?" I asked.

"I don't know, he just said that Jimi wanted to talk to Kim" Rebecca replied.

"I'll be right back" Kimberly said and walked out of the room.

Ten minutes later, Kimberly returned to the room.

"What did he want?" I asked with nervousness in my voice.

"He wanted me to give you this" she said with a smile on her face. She handed me a folded up piece of paper. I unfolded it and saw it was a letter.

My love,

Today is the day we start the rest of our lives. I love you more than anything  on this Earth and I can't wait to see what the future holds for us. I got you a little something to wear on this special day. I saw it and I thought that this was something you had to have. I can't wait to see you walk down that aisle and call you my wife.

I love you so much,

Jimi

I started to get tears in my eyes reading the letter. I looked up at Kimberly and she handed me a box. I set the letter on the table and opened the box. It was a beautiful silver heart necklace with diamonds in the center of it. My jaw dropped as soon as I opened it.

"Wow, that's beautiful" My mom said.

"Yeah, it is" I whispered.

"Let me put it on you" my mom said. I took the necklace out of the box and handed it to her. She put it around my neck and clipped the two ends together.

"Jimi sure knows what he's doing" Kelly said and I smiled.

My dad walked in a few minutes later.

"It's just about time" he said with a smile on his face.

"Wow, you look beautiful baby girl" my dad said.

"Thanks Daddy" I said. Everyone walked out of the room followed by my dad and I. Everyone walked down the aisle. Then the music started playing. My dad stuck out his arm and I looped my arm in.

"Are you ready?" he asked. I looked at him and smiled.

"Yeah" I said. We walked towards the doors and turned the corner. I saw Jimi standing under the arch at the altar wearing a white tux. I can't wait to call him my husband.
