"One last batch, Master."

Patuloy ang ginagawang pagsasalin ng dugo sa mga newborns at ilang bampira sa loob ng laboratory. Matamang pinagmasdan ni Haru ang mga nangyayari. All was happening according to his will and plan. Mabilis ang mga pagkilos nito na, pawang mga bihasa na at hindi sanay na magkamali.

Haru stared at the screen, silently counting the seconds. One, two, three...

"Process complete."

Isang ngiti ang lumitaw sa kanyang labi. Nilingon niya si Rei at tumango rito. "Lead this batch. Go to the main division. Destroy anyone who'll block your way."

In return, Rei nodded. And without a second glance, she made her way through the door and left. Sumunod naman ang newborns dito.

Haru sighed and slowly walked until he reached the glass window at the right side of the room. Maliwanag pa. And light means victory. Ipapanalo nila ang digmaan at iuuwi ang pinakamagandang premyo sa kasaysayan—the eternal peace.

A few more fights and deaths then everything's going to be under control. A little sacrifice won't hurt, he said to himself.

Along with her troops, Rei and the newborns ran in an incredible speed. Wasting time would be out of the choices. Wala na silang pakialam kung may makakita sa kanila. At isa pa, mabilis kumalat ang balita. Siguradong ngayon pa lang ay alam na ng mga tao ang tungkol sa mga katulad nilang nilalang na nabubuhay sa dugo.

Sa kalagitnaan ng kanilang pagtakbo ay napaisip siya. She thought all of the sacrifices she made in order to reach this point of her life.

She sacrificed her happiness to be with her husband and daughter. Not only she betrayed them, but also, she betrayed all of those she had history with—her friends, the Dean, and the university itself.

They may not forgive her forever but at least, she'll be able to save everyone's future to have a peaceful life. Everyone may not acknowledge this achievement but who cares? It didn't matter.

Ilang minuto lang ang lumipas ay nakarating na rin sila sa main division. Wala nang inaksayang oras ang mga newborns dahil kaagad silang sumugod at umatake sa mga bampirang nagtatangkang harangan at protektahan ang iba. Rei left them and walked.

"Rei!"

Napahinto siya at napatingin sa mga humarang sa kanya—sina Rico at Rain.

"Where's the Dean?" she asked instead.

"He went to your place." Si Rain na ang sumagot sa kanya. Si Rico naman ay hindi mabasa ang emosyong dumadaan sa mata nito. He looked troubled.

Rei tried not to stare at his husband and did a menacing smirk instead. "Let's start...shall we?"

In a span of three seconds, the clouds darkened. Thunders were heard. That was Rei's attribute. Her ability to manipulate the weather surely was a big asset to her but it was energy consuming at the same time.

Umilag ang dalawa nang muntik na silang matamaan ng kidlat. Ang iba naman na hindi mapalad na hinaplos ng nakamamatay nitong boltahe ay kaagad na nangisay at nasunog na parang karneng piniprito sa nagbabagang apoy. Rei didn't care though.

Nagkatinginan sina Rain at Rico at parehas na tumango na para bang nagkakaintindihan sila sa nais nilang mangyari. And in an instant, both of them stared at the lone woman, Rei, who's only waiting for a violent move.

It was as if silence totally embraced them. Then...Rain vanished. Naging mapagmatyag sa paligid si Rei. She knew the woman's ability. She knew how strong she was.
