Treat you better (Wroetozerk) pt. 2

Harry's POV

"breath Harry, common kiddo, breath" I hear someone tell me, what is going on, where am I, what happened. Then I open my eyes and cough up a lot off water, I'm there just gagging and spitting out water and there is someone just rubbing my back, I don't know what is going on

"there you go, just spit everything up, good job" someone tells me over and over again

"what happened?" I try to say, but it just comes out as mumbling, I'm still struggling to much to breath to speak

"try again" the voice says and I finally put together who the voice belongs to, It's Ethan.

"where is Josh?" I ask, this time they understand me

"he left with Taylor"

"what? Why?" I ask, getting a bit upset, why would he leave after that?

"Taylor dragged him away, Josh tried to fight him, but he just took him away"

"there is something wrong, Josh is not happy, I need to help him get away from him" I say as I try to stand up, only to fall back down again

"only place you are going is the hospital to get checked out, you were out for almost 4 minutes"

"what happened?" I ask

"well Taylor pushed you into the pool and you hit your head on the floor off the pool as you went in head first" Ethan tells me as he helps me stand up, then he and Vikk drive me to the hospital, who tell me that I am fine, but I already knew that, and now I have a doctor bill to pay, only for them to tell me that there is nothing wrong with me. Brilliant, thanks a lot Taylor.

I watch Josh come in to the classroom the following Monday, he has not tried to call me or text me or anything since the party, he looks relieved as he sees me, I can see it on his face. I point to him to come and sit with me, and to my surprise he does, he actually comes to my table and sits down next to me.

"hey, how are you?" he asks, avoiding eye contact with me

"fine, clearly" I say, I'm a bit pissed at him for not asking earlier

"sorry" he whispers and then we stay silent for feels like hours, I regret my snappy comment almost instantly, I did not mean to be mean to him, he does not need that right now

"no, I'm sorry" I sigh

"why?"

"for being snappy, I'm just a bit pissed that you did not stay after he pushed me in, he could have killed me and you just go before you know if I'm OK or not" I whisper to him as I really don't want the hole class overhearing us.

"I could not stay, he dragged me away, Simon and JJ were screaming at him and Vikk, Tobi and Ethan jumped in to get you out, I just had to go with him"

"no, you did not have to, you chose to, they could have protected you, they could have stood up to him"

"It's not that simple"

"It's very simple, he is overbearing and you look terrified off him, is that really the relationship that you want to be in?"

"I love him" Josh tells me

"No you don't, he is a control freak, and I suspect that he is hitting you, you don't love him, he is hurting you and you need to do something about it before it's to late, you need to get out off there now" I say a little to loud and the hole class turns around, making Josh stand up and rush out, I can tell that he is going to cry, if he is not already crying, I should not be so hard on him. I need to go after him.

I run to the toilet, I think that is the first place that Josh would think to go to, and I am right, he is there in one off the stalls, I can hear him crying,

"Josh, I'm sorry, please can we talk" I say

"don't be sorry" I hear him as he blows his nose

"I'm sorry that I made you cry" I tell him

"again, don't" he tells me as he unlocks the stall and walks out, with puffy eyes and a runny nose.

"talk to me, I can help you" I say

"no one can help me, I got myself into this mess, I need to get myself out"

"It's OK to admit that you need help sometimes, It does not make you a less off a person"

"I know" Josh tells me as he looks down

"do you really know, because I can't see that, what I can see is that you are being abused and I wont let that happen, can you tell me why he is abusing you?" I ask

"because I told him that I thought you were cute" Josh cries out

"what?"

"I told him that I had a crush on you and he flipped out, I could not see you any more, I was not allowed to talk to you, that is why he beat you up, we were together then and he got jealous that we were talking"

"so he is abusing you because off me?" I ask stunned

"I don't want to say yes" Josh tells me as he brakes down

"but what if I told you that I have a crush on you to?" I ask

"what?" Josh looks up stunned at what I just said

"I like you Josh, I have for a while, I can helpyou get away from Taylor, and we can be together, I promise that I can treatyou better, than he can."
