"Hey, Katie I didn't know you wore contacts." I said while we were all sitting in my lounge "working" on our history project. "What do you mean?" she asked looked at me. I said, "The other day, your eyes were a grey color when you got to school when normally they're a baby blue." "I don't wear contacts." she said dropping the subject. She's a wolf then. She does remind me of an Omega. But I have to make sure. My parents and I have been without a pack for 12 years since a rogue pack attacked ours killing everyone in it, including our Alpha, Luna, and their son. My dad was the Beta of the pack. I'm to be Beta when we find an Alpha.

Everyone left except for Katie and I stopped her at the door on her way out. "What?" She asked looking at me. That's when it hit me. She's my mate. She smells of roses by the ocean. I took a deep breath of her scent before stating, "So you're a wolf." She didn't answer, just left as fast as she could. I need to know before I drop the "we're mates" bomb on her.
