"So what do ya think?" my mom asked me as we pulled up to our new house. "It's pretty cool to get to live on 8acres of land in the country," I said. She turned in the driver's seat to look at me.

"But?" she inquired. I looked out the passenger side window. "It's just gonna suck to be alone all summer, and then have to start a new school," I replied. She put a hand on my shoulder. "I know sweetie. It's got to be tough, but you will get through it," she said. "Yeah," I said to myself.

"You know what?" she asked excitedly. "Hmm?" I groaned. "Why don't you go see if our closest neighbor has any kids?" she asked.

I knew that there was no way to talk her out of it. When she gets an idea she will stop at nothing until it happens.

"Sure I could really use the fresh air after being in the car for 7 hours," I shrugged as I got out of the car. "Scream if you need me," She shouted to me as I walked down the driveway. "Okay," I shouted back.
