"Hey look! A sword made out of a whale's tooth." Aang says pulling it out. This of course catches my attention.
"Lemme see that." Sokka walks forward, examining the blade.
"This is a water tribe weapon. See if you can find anything else." Sokka says to us.
"Did someone lose something?" Katara asks coming up to us
"No, we found something." Aang says looking in a bush. Sokka brushes away some leaves from a broken arrow on the ground. He picks it up and inspects it.
"It's burned." He throws it away and walks over to a tree with burn marks.
"There was a battle. Water tribe warriors ambushed a group of firebenders. The firebenders fought back, but the warriors drove them down this hill." He runs down the hill, with us in tow
"So then what happened?" Aang asks.
"I don't know. The trail ends here." Sokka responds.
"Wait! Look!" Katara points to a beached water tribe boat.
"It's one of our boats!" Sokka exclaims. We all run to it.
"Is this, Dad's boat?" I question excitedly.
"No, but it's from his fleet. Dad was here." Sokka says rubbing the ship's prow and smiling

I sit up upon hearing a sound.
"Who's there?" I hear Sokka ask.
"Sokka?" The voice asks.
"Bato?" Sokka grins.
"Who the what now?" Aang asks confused.
"Bato!" Katara and I exclaim as we see the friendly face.

"Sokka! Katara! Nevan! It is so good to see you Three! Oh, you've grown so much." Bato hugs us.
"Hi, I'm Aang." Aang bows.
"Where's Dad?" Sokka questions.
"Is he here?" Katara adds excitedly.
"No, he and the other warriors should be in the eastern Earth Kingdom by now." The wind picks up and we all shiver.
"Brr! This is no place for a reunion. Let's get inside." He puts his arms around Katara, Sokka, and I and motions Aang to follow. We walk to the gates of a monastery.
"After I was wounded, your father carried me to this abbey. The sisters have cared for me ever since. Superior, these are Hakoda's children. They've been traveling with the Avatar. I found them by my boat." Bato explains to an older women
