Perfect Date

I've been thinking about Ed's new song and how it resonated in my head that a specific verse translated into a perfect cutesy lovely date for me.

"Baby, I'm dancing in the dark, with you between my arms. Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favourite song."

I don't know. It must be the way he sang it that made so much of an impact to me. I do fantasize of stargazing with the one I love underneath an oak tree with little light coming from our house behind us, as we talk about what we want to talk about with some background music to add effect.

Then comes in our favourite song and instantly, we look into each other's eyes, full of joy and we knew at that time.

We knew instantly that we had to dance, barefoot on the grass, a slow song, perhaps more of Ed's song tempo.

Just swaying through the soft slow beats as it caressed our ears with the stars as our witnesses, as we hold each other in between our arms, thinking about nothing but the two of us, and for a moment, nothing in the world mattered, all our fears and problems suddenly washed away. There's just you and me and nothing else.

With every step we take, we fall deeper into each other's arms until there are no more gaps, no space, and no hindrance to separate us, until the only thing we hear is each other's heartbeats as we keep dancing beneath the stars.

Call me sappy but that is just super romantic for me and will hands down be the best date I will ever have until something else comes to mind, but for now, I'll stick with this idea in my head.

The new song I'm referring to by the way is Perfect by of course Ed Sheeran.
