Pain is no doubt a very good tool to use as a teaching material or method.
Whether it's physical or emotional, pain hurts either way. Then it teaches you a lesson, but, taken the wrong way, it can lead to disastrous results.
Some people don't listen to pain, meaning they haven't learned their lesson yet.
Pain is a reminder that we are doing something wrong and that we should fix it or perhaps not do it the second time around.
Pain can also change a person, more pain means more lessons to be learned, and more lessons learned the more you change as a person in general.
Most of the time, we need pain to teach us that we shouldn't do something because it hurts me, you, us and/or them. Here are some examples:
Pain teaches us not to stick our fingers inside the protective bars of our electric fans, pain teaches us to be careful when going up or down the stairs, pain teaches us not to punch random hard object, pain teaches us to be cautious when loving somebody, pain teaches us to drive carefully and with an alert mind and so much more.
Sometimes we don't need pain to know that we shouldn't do something because it hurts me, you, us and/or them, like stabbing yourself with a knife on your thighs or something, or maybe cutting your arms with a sharp razor. Don't be stupid.
Ignorance of the pain behind something is stupidity.
Just because of the consequence that it will hurt you or somebody else later, doesn't mean you should do it now like cheating on your wife/husband or boyfriend/girlfriend.
Pain is there for a reason, it's there to be a lesson, don't take it lightly, don't be ignorant.
