❝WE'RE NOT
BROTHERS ANYMORE.❞
—S.R

WAKING UP, her cellphone buzzed with hundreds of alerts and work-related messages. Just so little as glancing at the screen made Samantha place a pillow over her head to shout obscenities in both French and Spanish:

❝JE VAIS T'OUVRIR
 LE VENTURE,

BORDEL DE MERDE!❞
+
❝HIJOS DE SU PUTA MADRE,
DEJENME DESCANSAR!❞

IT WAS 9PM, meaning that she had slept through all five alarms. While Sam still had a good thirty minutes to look somewhat professional, her spirits were running rather low.

The only motivation she found to get out of bed came from the notepad beside her, and the flowers he had placed on top of it.  The first was a dandelion, but more than that, her favorite flower.

Samantha couldn't even describe it herself, but from a young age she learned that dandelions brought her an inexplicable happiness. Much of her childhood revolved around dandelion fields, running through tracks of tall grass with infectious laughter.

Something about the way those delicate petals blew with so little a movement was hilarious to her. It was even funnier how people thought of them as useless, when dandelions were some of the fastest growing plants.
