Aithne Blaize Falcon

"Raine! Aithne! Caprice! Aria! Wake up!" I heard our mother shout from the kitchen downstairs.

"Gising na kami ni Aithne, mommy! Sina Caprice at Aria tulog mantika pa rin!" My sister, Raine, shouted back.

"Wake them up, dear!"

"Okay pa sana kung si Aria ang tulog mantika kasi mabilis naman siyang kumilos. Pero si Caprice, naku! Sa sobrang pagmamadali nasisira na lang ang mga gamit!" I heard Raine blurted out while laughing.

"Just wake them up."

"Okay!" She agreed with a sing-song tone, "Buhusan ko kaya ng tubig?" She asked with a wicked smile.

"Do whatever you want as long as they'll wake up. I'll be downstairs."

"Hey, don't forget your contacts." She reminded me before I could open the door.

"Yeah, they're in my bag. I'll wear them after eating." She nodded at my statement so I continued my way outside.

"Morning, mom. Morning, aunt Minerva." I kissed their cheeks and sat on my place at the table.

"Morning, Aithne." They replied.

I grabbed a bowl of cereal that was already set for us and just needed milk to be poured in.

"Wher--"

Two high-pitched voices shouted from upstairs which cut her off.

"Ano 'yun!?" Mom worriedly asked.

"Raine woke them up." I simply said and continued eating.

"Manang-mana ka talaga sa ama mo, iha, ang tipid magsalita." She laughed.

I smiled at aunt Minerva.

I miss Dad. It's been five years since his last visit. I know he's busy, especially now that he built an academy. In fact, Dad actually wanted me and my sisters to study there, but we know that it's not yet safe. Mom also asked us, but we know if we go back, chaos might happen, and I won't allow anyone to get hurt just because of us.

"Mommy!" I cringed at the sound of my sisters' shrieks.

I saw Raine heading down here with a smile of success.

"Ano namang ginawa mo sa mga kapatid mo, Raine."

"Binuhusan ko lang po sila ng tubig para gumising. Alam niyo namang mahirap gisingin ang dalawang 'yun." Raine is our eldest but she is the most childish. Aria, our youngest, thinks and acts more maturely than her. In most circumstances.

"Ate Raine!" The two shouted. And then the house started to shake and a strong gust of wind surrounded us.

"Oy! Oy! Ayaw niyo 'nun? Instant ligo na kayo?" Raine shouted at them hiding behind my back. I was almost done eating when Mom asked. "Pigilan mo na, anak."

"In a minute." I told her and continued eating my food.

"Aithne! Help me!" Raine shouted, a good timing at that because I just finished my last spoonful.
