Matthew POV
As I walk to her room and debating what to say.
Me: "hey um how's it going?"
Paige: "same as when you asked 10 minutes ago."
Me: "so um what's your favorite color?"
Paige: "if you're trying to "get to know me" that's not going to work."
Me: "well fuck."
Paige: "why do you even bother."
Me: "do you want to go out for frozen yogurt?"
Paige: "yeah no thanks"
Me: "alright"
As I leave her room I see my wife Laurie.
Laurie: "how did it go?"
Me: "horrible that kid hates me."
Laurie: "she doesn't hate you she just being 17"
Me: "I was not like that at 17."
Laurie: "well yeah your mother didn't die and you knew your father your whole life ALSO YOU GRADUATED IN THE 80's shits changed"
Laurie: "let me talk to her she needs a woman figure in her life"
Me: "alright I have to go to work have fun with that.... Oh, and she gives this stare that creeps me out.
Laurie POV (sorry if I'm changing POV a lot)
As I enter her room I regret painting this room pink it kinda hurts my eyes.
She gives me this stare that Matt was talking about and it kinda creeps me out.
Paige: "hi? what do you want."
Me: "hi what's up?"
Paige: "why does it matter?" (Try to imagine her sounding Hella bitchy and rude af)
Me: " I don't know I just thou-"
Paige: "what you thought that we could be my "mom" because think again."
Me: "oh god no I'll never replace your mom I just thought we could be um...friends?"
Paige: "yeah no thanks I have plenty of friends I don't need anymore."
Me: "then what can I be to you?"
Paige: "a lady that has no relevant meaning to me"
At this point I was pissed at first I didn't want to yell at her but she gone too far.
Me: "HEY LISTEN DONT TALK TO ME LIKE THAT."
Paige: "oh really what you going to do?"
Me: "give me your phone."
At this point she said walked to me and I backed up so I was to the door.
Paige: " you're not my mother you can't do that."
Me: "yeah thank god I'm not your mother."
I realized what I said and her face went from angry to sad and I regretted it instantly.
