Paige POV
After our date I go home and go straight to sleep. I wake up to a morning text from Shawn
Shawn: "as wrong as this sounds my legs really hurt. Why?!" I laugh at the text
Me: "that's what happens when you ride a horse for the first time." After I press send I walk downstairs to my surprise of a lady
Michelle: "well hello. Told you if be checking up." I look shocked
Michelle: "what did you think I forgot about you?" I scratch my arm nervously
Me: "well uh yeah." She laughs
Michelle: "well I'm here to see how you are." I nod and we head to the kitchen
Matt: "I'll be upstairs if you need me." He says after kissing my head
Michelle: "you look happy." She smiles and I let out a weak smile
Me: "yeah, happier than I was."
Michelle: "who is it?" I give her a confused look
Michelle: "I may be an adult but I know those eyes."
Me: "okay fine." I say having my hands up in surrender. "His name is Shawn." She smiles
Michelle: "you love him." My eyes go wide
Me: "WHAT NO! Just puppy love." She gives me a confused look
Michelle: "doesn't look like puppy love to me"
Me: "yeah and your also 40" I say jokingly
Michelle: "hey I'm not 40! I'm 30!" We both laugh. Michelle stays for about another hour and then she leaves and I start to think is it puppy love or more. Will he even like me after I tell him my past? The questions run through my head as I lock the front door.
