Paige POV
I pulled Laurie to the side as Shawn and Marina were on the couch
Me: "what about Matt? He will literally kill Shawn with a chopstick."
Laurie: "He won't be back til the weekend"
Laurie: "he seems like a nice boy."
Me: "just a friend,trust me he doesn't want anything to do with me"
Laurie: "you don't know that"
Me: "he won't like me after he finds out about my past"
Laurie: "you past makes you who you are, if he can't accept that then, well then fuck him, wait not literally but ya know, bye"
Me: "can't believe you just said that."
As I finish my talk I go to the couch with Shawn when Marina leaves
Me: "okay bye to you too."
Marina: "Michelle is facetiming. Tell me when dinner is here."
Me: "maybe I'll just eat all of it."
Marina: "you wouldn't, your period hasn't come yet."
Shawn look like embarrassed.
Me: "alright I'll tell you" About 20 minutes later dinner is here.
Me: "MARINA DINNER IS HERE!"
Laurie: "you don't need a mega phone in this house"
Shawn chuckles
Laurie: "So Shawn what are you majoring in college?" I drop my fork and give her a glare
Me: "stop-"
Marina: "SHAWN MENDES DOESN'T GO TO SCHOOL! He's on tour, you know that song I know I can treat you better..."
Laurie: "Sorry I'm old."
Shawn: "your okay."
Laurie: "when do you go back on tour?"
Shawn: "uh well I start tour in April but I'll be doing stuff before that"
Laurie: "must be tiring ey?"
Shawn: "I have my moments."
Laurie: "just don't get how-"
Me: "who loves egg rolls I love egg rolls." Trying to stop Laurie from continuing and Shawn laughs
Marina: "I do!" finally someone caught on.
Laurie: "Paige do not forget to clean your room, my god its bad" I blush and continue to talk to Shawn
Dinner ended, about a hour later we are sitting at the table
Shawn: "what do you miss most about New York?"
Me: "my horse."
Looking confused
Me: "sorry, I used to ride
Shawn: "crazy and weird is good but not as weird as you."
Me: "at least I'm not a dork!" Shawn and I both go outside to say our goodbye
Me: " hey thanks for hanging out" he chuckles
Shawn: "I had a really good time." As he said that we both laugh and he leans into a kiss me and then Laurie's car alarm goes off and we both jump.
Me: "Jesus Christ!" We laugh
He starts to lean in again to what looks like a kiss, BUT it's not. He goes to my ear
Shawn: "go clean your room."
