Paige POV
About a month after Shawn met Matt and Laurie and me meeting his parents I decide that our friends should know what is going on. So Shawn and I are sitting on the couch just relaxing and I start to feel guilty not having my best friend know that I'm dating someone and talking about him. I'm laying in Shawn's arms when I decide to ask.
Me: "call me crazy but I want to tell people that you are mine, I mean just our friends" all I see is a smile on Shawn's face
Me: "what?" He takes my face in his hands
Shawn: "nothing your just so cute" he leans down and kisses me.
Shawn: "okay. That's perfect. My friends need to know that your my girl" I smile
Shawn: "what?" Me: "nothing" I hesitate "well you called me your girl" a smile appears on Shawn's face
Shawn: "well yeah your my girl" we continue to cuddle for the rest of the day.
Next day i get into school and I see Lexi. I walk up to her and Alex talking about who knows what.
Me: "hey can I-uh talk to you? Privately?" She looks at Alex kisses him and he walks away
Lexi: "what's up?" I fidget with my fingers
Me: "okay...um Shawn and I we are uh" I start looking all around except for Lexi "dating" whispering the last part
Lexi: "I'm sorry I thought you said dating." My eyes go big and then hers go big
Lexi: "OMG OMG! Yes finally! Shaige is finally a thing. That's so cute for how long? Like a week?!"
Me: "that's the funny part. It's been about 2 maybe 3" her face expression doesn't change
Lexi: "What weeks?"
Me: "months" then her mouth opens wide
Lexi: "and why didn't you tell me?" Me: "cause of this exact reason. Your flipping out. I don't need everyone knowing!" Lexi: "got it. My lips are sealed" we start to walk to math class
Lexi: "can't believe my best friend didn't tell me that she was dating someone, let alone the sha-" I put my hand on her mouth and give her a evil look "Shawn mendes" whispering so low that only we can hear it
