The drive to the frozen yogurt place was quiet. It was very awkward.
We get there and I go straight to the coffee frozen yogurt, but a kid beats me to it, we touched hands
Guy: "oh sorry you can go fir-"
He turns around.
It was Shawn
Shawn: "hey!"
Me: "hi?"
Shawn: "what are you doing here?"
Me: "pretty sure it's a public place."
Shawn: "oh well not a lot of people like frozen yogurt."
Me: "who I need to meet them and set them straight."
Shawn starts to laugh and Matthew yells
Matthew: "Paige you done, my hands are getting cold."
Shawn: "alright well see you around"
He seemed kinda sad and disappointed and i didn't know why.
Me: "yeah yeah I'm coming"
Skip to school
John: "see you all at my house @ 9
Lexi: "omg I totally forgot about that party!"
Me: "you forgot shit I forgot!"
Lexi: "you're coming, right?"
Me: "I mean I'll have to ask Matt but I mean I'll ask."
Lexi: "hey you can come over to my house and get ready. Oh, and guess what?"
Me: "what?"
Lexi: "college kids are going to be there."
Me: "c-c-college kids? How does he know college kids."
Lexi: "well technically it's his brothers party but his brother is fine with other people going."
Lexi: "oh what's your address I'll pick you up."
Me: "oh uh it's um 325 fox Hearst dr."
Lexi: "oh I know exactly where that is"
Skip to after school
Me: "hey Matt, can I go to a party with my friend Lexi?!"
Matthew: "you know I'm going to be protective. Your 17 you shouldn't be going to parties."
Me: "come on Matt I'll call you...it's just some guys party."
Matthew: "a guy's party? You never said that."
Me: "yeah and other people will be there."
Matthew: "alright alright you can go. Btws I was going to let you go but I just wanted to hear you beg."
Me: "are you serious and don't ever say "Btws" that's not cool"
As I go upstairs I text Lexi
Me: "hey Lexi surprisingly he said yes so in, I need to get Mark out of my head."
Lexi: "attention all boys this girl is officially ready to mingle calling all boys!"
Me: "your unbelievable 😂"
Lexi: "alright I'll pick you up at 5 so we can get ready.
