Paige is dating someone, I can't believe I thought I had a chance.
Mum: "dinner!"
As we all sit at the table I guess my emotions showed through
Mum: "sweetie what's wrong?"
Me: "uh nothing its silly"
Dad: "one thing you don't do is lie to your mother, Shawn what is it?"
Me: " don't you just hate when you like a girl and then find out that she's taken, ever have that dad?"
Aaliyah: "awe this is about Paige...wait she's dating someone?" I nob putting pasta in my mouth
Mum: "awe honey how did you find out?"
Me: "I was on FaceTime with her when Matthew called her"
Aaliyah: "you realize that could be like a friend or something."
Me: "oh yeah saying I love you meaning nothing."
Aaliyah: "oh shit"
Mum: "language! anyway Shawn confront her, don't ignore her. Us girls hate that."
Me: "but mum-"
Mum: "don't mum me, you like her correct?" I nod
Mum: "okay well this is just a bump in the road."
Aaliyah: "you think about it friends do say those things."
Mum: "oh yeah so your telling me that Paige a friend of Shawn should tell him her bra size? Come on Aaliyah."
Me and Aaliyah: "mum!"
Mum: "don't ignore her! Friends hate when friends ignore the other. Doesn't matter the gender."
Should I ignore her, and just forget about Paige Lark? God being 18 is exhausting
