"Watch your back!" A voice boomed through my ears as I ducked to the side just in time. A split second later Jiro had the barrel of his sniper extended over my shoulder as he fired, taking down three guards behind me.

At the same time I brought my AK 47 under his arm to fire at a pair who were speeding towards us. The array of bullets left my gun as they engrained themselves on their bodies before letting them slump to the ground.

Ten or so minutes had passed since the squad separated and Jiro and I were cleaning the outside of the mansion, taking down every guard in sight. We were moving constantly, with each position we held came a new wave of enemies that made the unfortunate decision to come in our search.

"Thanks." I breathed out at the same time he did, both of us breaking out in a small laugh at our synchronized response.

"Think that's all of 'em?" I asked as I inhaled deeply, trying to regain my lost breath.

"On this side, yeah." He answered reaching inside his backpack and exchanging the empty mag of his sniper for a new one. "Now let's move quickly before they track the gunshot sounds."

Slinging the AK over my shoulder I quietly followed the blond as we carefully made our way down the side of the hill, maintaining a good distance from the house as we jogged to our next location.

My body was a bit shaky from the feel of the gun, my breath heavy from moving around non stop and to top it all off my ears were ringing because of Jiro's close shot. I playfully glared at the blond's back, resisting the urge to trip him off his feet because he was currently holding a sniper and could no doubt spill my brains.

"I'm winning, ya know." His light, playful voice came and I growled under my breath.

"Well yeah! You have a magic gun that can kill three people with one shot!"

"My dear Emi, the magic is not in the gun, but in the user." Jiro turned back just so I could catch his smirk for a split second. "If you train really hard, maybe you can be like me someday!"

"Yeah right." I rolled my eyes as I gave him a playful shove. "Why would I want to be a blond bimbo?"

"What, you're siding with Ryuu now?!" He gasped offended. "I thought what we had was special!"

"You're such a drama queen sometimes." I laughed, almost knocking into the blond as he stopped abruptly.

"Next spot." He informed. "What's your killstreak?"

I scratched the back of my head, trying to remember. "Um, 25-ish?"

"Amateur..." Jiro tsked as he laid the sniper on the ground a few inches away from me, positioning himself prone right in front of it.

"Mine's 43 and counting!" He boasted as his hands carefully fumbled with the scope, adjusting it to fit his needs.

"Big whoop." I rolled my eyes. "I'd like to see you fight hand to hand, see if you can beat me then."

"Well that's not fair. It's your element."

"Exactly." I shrugged. "Its easier to hide behind a gun. Hand to hand is way harder."

The blond raised his eyebrows, a disapproving pout formed on his face as he shook his head. "Emi, this is an art! Its so much more than hiding behind a gun and firing. You have math, probability-"

"Yeah yeah, whatever. Let's just kill some dudes." I huffed, cutting Jiro's rant in half.

"You're mean, you know that? No more hanging out with Shin. I forbid it."
