dark– chapter eighty nine

Theo and I were sitting in one of the couches of the animal clinic. My mom was taking care of Hayden and Liam was there with them.

"You know we're going to need help with him." Theo told me.

"He'll be alright." I mumbled.

"He's 16 and in love. First love. You remember what's that's like?" Theo asked.

I looked down at my hands, still thinking about how Cassie left me yesterday.

"Yeah, trust me, I remember."

"All those emotions mixed with the Supermoon. Tonight isn't going to be good." Theo said.

I sighed. "I know."

"We need help, and I don't mean restraints or chains. I mean, Malia, Cassie, Stiles, Lydia. You need your pack, Scott." He said.

"I'm not so sure I have one anymore." I told him.

"Let me talk to them. Let me see what I can do. Okay?"

I nodded and he stood up, walking towards the door.

"Theo." He looked at me. "Thank you."

Theo texted me to tell that Hayden wasn't getting better, Melissa was taking care of her but they think she's dying. Liam asked Scott to turn her but he thinks won't survive the bite. Theo said she wanted to meet me at the library, so here I am. There are cops everywhere so I guess something happened in the middle of the night. I texted Cassie and she told me that she was stuck in traffic because of some car crash and asked me to search for something on the books.

"Woden's Hunt, also known the Wild Ride or Wild Hunt. A myth of devilish riders in the sky accompanied by black dogs, spectral beasts whose eyes glowed with fire. A Bearer of Death and Guardian of the supernatural, the black dog is also known by its more common name... The Hellhound." I read.

That's it. That's what Parrish is.

I closed the book and I started hearing whisperings along with a man groaning in pain. I heard Scott's voice and more whispers, and then I heard Liam's voice and growling.

"You know what's coming."

I gasped, looking around as my heart started beating 10 times faster and I saw Theo.

"Don't you?"

"Someone's going to die here." I said.

Theo nodded. "You're right. But I can't let you tell anyone."

"Why?" I asked him.

"Because I want you, Lydia. I want all of you."

I frowned. "What are you talking about?"

"Don't worry." He smiled. "I'll give you some time to think about it."

I looked at him again and I widened my eyes when he hit me, knocking me out.
