brother - chapter one hundred five

cassie

I looked down at my hands. I have been connecting things lately, how Lydia thought that Stiles was my brother. How the jeep they found belonged to my mother, how Theo asked me where my brother was. What if he is my brother? What does that mean? God, this whole thing is just making me confused. I have no idea of what to think. Scott was by my side the whole time, worried about me, making sure I was with him all the time. He was making sure to keep his eyes on me and that was annoying me. He was hiding something from me. I'm not stupid.

"You're going to bite Stiles?"

I looked up, we were at the Sheriff's Station, making up a plan to save Stiles.

Scott looked at Lydia, "To get him through the rift. It's the only way."

"Just to clarify, are you planning on biting everyone in the train station?" Peter asked

"Just to clarify, are you planning on biting everyone in the train station?" Peter asked.

"With Stiles back, he'll be able to help us figure out a plan." Scott said.

"He's good at that." Malia murmured.

"So the plan is to get Stiles to come up with a plan." Peter said.

"You can shut up now." I hissed at him.

"Cassie, look around. We're the only ones left in Beacon Hills. If they take us, Lydia will be the only one left to haunt the place." Peter said.

"That's why I'm the only person that's going in," Scott said. "Liam and Hayden will stay here with Mason. As long as somebody is left in Beacon Hills, the Wild Hunt can't move on."

"I like your plan, Scott. I really do, especially the part about turning Stiles. But it can't work." Peter murmured.

"How do you know?" Malia asked.

"Logic. Life experience. Liam, what are the odds that he'll get taken? What if Stiles isn't there? What if there's no Beacon Hills for you to come back to?" Peter asked.

Liam looked at him, 'You got a better idea?"

"Yeah. It's called. "run like hell." So, leave in five?" Peter asked and we looked at him.

"You promised you'd help us," Malia told him. "We still need to find the rift."

"I didn't promise I'd help you commit suicide."

"If you can't help, we can find it ourselves." Scott told him.

"Scott, I admit that you have a flair for beating the odds. But, this? You don't walk away from. You run." Peter said, turning around and leaving.

Malia stood there, looking at the door. I walked towards her, offering my hand, which she grabbed and I smiled at her. I can't believe he did this to her.
