closed unit – chapter ninety three

I was driving faster as I could, right behind the cops. The beast was reported and we're after it.

"Unit five heading northwest on Crescent reporting an incredibly large... something." I heard Clark through the radio.

"Unit Nine, to Dispatch, I think I've got eyes on the same thing. Some kind of rabid animal." Another deputy said.

"Unit Five to Nine, trust me, that's no animal." Clark said.

"Unit Six to Dispatch. We have a situation downtown. Multiple fatalities."

"Copy, medics on the way. Do you have a perp in sight, Unit Six?"

"Negative. Looks like a 10-91E. Animal attack."

"10-4, can you say what kind of animal?"

Scott and I looked at each other for a moment, I quickly grabbed the radio.

"Unit Five reporting a sighting on Hill Road southbound... "

"Unit Nine, I've got it turning off Oakridge, southbound on Beachwood...."

"It's headed back for the hospital."

I grabbed the radio quickly. "Dad—"

"Stiles, get off this channel!"

"Dad, just listen to me, okay? It's headed for the hospital, alright? He's headed for Beacon Memorial. You hear me? It's headed for the hospital." I said.

"Unit five, Clark, I need eyes on Parrish. Does anyone have Parrish's 20?" I heard my dad.

"All units, we have a 911 emergency call reporting a man on fire running into Beacon Memorial."

Scott and I looked at each other again.

We entered the hospital with my dad right behind us, holding a gun, he passed in front of us and we heard a snarling and some growlings.

"Fourth floor." Scott said.

We quickly made our way to the fourth floor and when we got there, some things were on fire and everything was a mess. We were approaching the hallway when a Parrish on fire came flying and being thrown against the wall in front of us.
