They walked home from another practice, their hands occasionally brushing against each other and Yamaguchi just walked beside him quietly, staring at the ground with his mind working furiously.

Tsukishima had his headphones on his neck, walking with one of his hands in his pockets and looking quite calm when he could actually, technically, hear the gears turning and working inside Yamaguchi's head. The smaller latter had been thinking hard about whatever he had in mind ever since yesterday night and Tsukishima couldn't take it any longer.

"Spit." Tsukishima said, filling their comfortable silence with a sigh.

Yamaguchi jumped slightly, startled at the sudden start of conversation of his boyfriend.

"E-, What?" Yamaguchi blushed.

"I can feel the heat of your working gears inside your brain, Tadashi, we're alone now, so tell me what's wrong." Tsukishima sighed again, grabbing his hand softly.

Yamaguchi blushed harder.

Yamaguchi had never expected Tsukishima to even notice anything was wrong with him, let alone notice something so minor as him having something on his mind.

"Is just that-" Yamaguchi paused. How was he supposed to ask his boyfriend what kind of music he listens to when they've known each other for ages?

Seriously, after so many years of friendship and 2 of dating, Yamaguchi couldn't help but to feel embarrassed and guilty about the fact that he didn't know his boyfriends favourite music genre. He couldn't help but to think that he was not doing a good job at being a boyfriend...

Tsukishima stopped walking, crossing his arms over his chest and he glared at Yamaguchi, not too hard (he didn't want to scare him) but just enough to make him tell him the truth. "Spit it." Tsukishima said.

Yamaguchi gulped down his fears and looked at him, taking a deep breath.

"Its just that-" He took a breath. "We've been dating for a while now and, I've known you for like-" He stopped again, counting the years on his fingers before shaking his head and continuing. "Years, okay, years, and I know it's  stupid and all-"

"Yamaguchi, just say it!" Tsukishima glared a bit harder, almost groaning in frustration.

"Everytime you're alone and such, I never know what you're listening to!" Yamaguchi finally said.

Tsukishima stood still, looking at his freckled boy with a surprised expression.

"That's it?" The blonde finally asked, raising an eyebrow at him.

"Uh, yeah?" Yamaguchi mumbled, fiddling with his thumbs. "Yeah? That's it..."

Tsukishima sighed in relief.

When Yamaguchi started his small speech with the 'we've been dating for a while', Tsukishima couldn't help but to feel scared.  He was never in many relationships but when he was, all of his partners would break up with him, using that same line every time, so he feared that Yamaguchi was going to do the same. Of course, he didn't want to but if it came down to it and Yamaguchi did say that he wanted to break up, Tsukishima would have to just accept his decision and maybe, ask for his friendship.

Thus, when Yamaguchi simply asked what Tsukishima usually listens to, Tsukishima had to let out a loud relieved sigh, pushing the panic and anxiety away.

"That's it." Tsukishima repeated to himself, nodding his head. "Alright." He took a breath.

"Tsukki, are you okay?" Yamaguchi asked, his eyes showing worry for him now.

Tsukishima grabbing his shoulders and pulled him in, kissing his lips softly. Yamaguchi was surprised by the sudden (but nice) attack but he couldn't help but to kiss back.

He closed his eyes, his hands going to Tsukishima's face and he relaxed. Tsukishima kissed him only for a few seconds, to simply reassure himself that Yamaguchi was not about to break up with him or leave him for some other dude. He kissed him almost to reassure himself that Yamaguchi was still there with him.

Once they'd pull away, Yamaguchi giggles. "What was that for, you're never one for PDA," Yamaguchi asks him, his voice low and just above a whisper.

"You can ask me anything any time, okay? Never hesitate when it comes to things like that," Tsukishima sighed. "Here, use these for a second."

Yamaguchi stays close to him as Tsukishima puts his own headphones over Yamaguchi's also freckled ears. He stays still, watching Tsukishima's every move, from the moment he pulled out his phone to when he started playing the familiar tune of 'Let it go'.

Yamaguchi's eyes widened and he stares at Tsukishima who wore a smirk on his face, laughing slightly at Yamaguchi's expression. Yamaguchi lifted one of the headphones off and got ready to ask if this was what he actually did listen to everyday  only to be cut off by Tsukishima. "No, of course I don't listen to that everyday, put them back on, it was a joke." Tsukishima chuckles.

Yamaguchi blushed bright red and he nods, letting the music surround him.

Tsukishima changes song and Yamaguchi smiles, listening to one of his favourite bands, Panic At The Disco. He recognizes the song, quickly nodding and mouthing the words to it. "So testosterone boys and harlequin girls, will you dance to this beat- is this it?"

Tsukishima smiles and nods.

Yamaguchi lets the headphones fall onto the back of his neck and he nods with a wide grin.

"Is that your favourite song?" He asks him, handing him back his personal music provider.

"Yeah," Tsukishima whispers. "What do you think?"

"It's pretty good. You know my favourite band is Panic!, right?" Yamaguchi says proudly and just like that, they were back to normal.

The two boys walked back home, hand in hand and simply chatting about their types and likes of music.
