Chapter 28

Shenaya

I woke up because someone was shaking my shoulder. I groaned annoyingly. But opened my eyes . It took a while to adjust to the light. I looked around . I was confused because I was sleeping in the living room not in my room. I remembered last night . Chae mouthed me not to make a sound. She pointed at her back and moved herself to let me to have a good view. It was Keil and Corl . They were both hugging each other and their legs were tangled . I covered my mouth . I was afraid I would laugh loudly . I quickly took my phone to take their photo. They look so cute. Corl's mouth was open widely and his head was on Keil's chest . Keil's face looked so innocent and care free . I never seen his this much peaceful look. They had kicked off the blankets and it was fine because heater was on until now. I went to clean myself. Cherreen was dressed and freshened first. When I came back Corl and Keil were still sleeping peacefully. It was 9 in the morning.

Keil was first one to wake up first . He looked around confused at first. I thought he would freak out because Corl was hugging him. They must be sleep together before. Oh I forgot that they knew each other since diapers. He noticed we were looking at him. " Good morning Shenaya! Cherreen! "He smiled at us. We greeted back .

Keil shook Corl . Corl woke up but didn't open his eyes . " What? . Let me sleep more" he wined like a baby. " Wear your pants idiot . You are half naked . Cherreen and Shenaya is here " Keil said in a serious tone making us giggle. Corl got up like a jet and grabbed a blanket to cover him. He soon noticed he was fully clothed and smacked Keil's head . Cherreen and I laughed loudly until my stomach hurts. His expression was priceless earlier.

Keil and Corl helped Cherreen to fix our living room again. I went to kitchen make something to start our day. "Hey what do you guys want ? " I asked referring Keil and Corl. Normally Chae and I have tea while Ashley has coffee.

"What do you both having ?" Corl asked me . "We are having tea as usual. I can make coffee if you want. Ashley kind a teach us how to make it "I told him. Keil was already in the kitchen.

"I want to try your tea today " Keil said while sitting on the counter. "Me too "Corl replied making me and Chae chuckle. Corl just leaned to the door frame while looking at the kitchen . We made them tea . But I added some milk before serving them. They aren't familiar with tea.

Chae and I waited for their reaction to the tea . "It's different than coffee . I don't know how to express it. But it make me warm up" Corl said with an confused look."Are they from Sri Lanka Shenaya?"Keil asked but didn't say anything. I nodded at him confirming it . Well , he liked to express his emotions when we are alone.

"We are going for Christmas shopping today . So both of you should get ready " Corl said while drinking the tea. "We will go back to change and before going to shopping we can eat breakfast "Keil finished it while finishing the tea. Look like we didn't have any saying here ."Shopping? As in buying things from a mall ? You two coming with us? "I asked them disbelieving with their words. "Yesss Shopping Shenaya. It's not just shopping. It's Christmas. Christmas Shopping. " Corl sighed heavily . These boys. "I want a special gift for this Christmas Shenaya . Think for a gift illuminatio mea " Keil whispered to me . My eyes widened. I looked at him , he just winked at me. He is not kidding. Oh god what should I buy him ?

After drinking Keil and Corl went to home . Heck they didn't even ask if we had any plans . It's obvious that we are practically strangers to not only New York but also this Christmas thing.

" Remember to wear more clothes to keep you warm Shenaya . I don't want you to get sick again. I don't want to die from being alone in a unfamiliar country " Chae threatened me before disappear to her room . I chuckled at her but didn't say anything.
