Memory lane

Hey everyone! For this chapter I decided to dedicate it to different moments that Lily and Jackson have had throughout their relationship that weren't included in the story. I just wanted to do this chapter to replace the episode where Jackson got a divorce since in this story him and Lily are not going through a divorce. I hope you guys enjoy!

One On One Time

Liliana's pov

"I'm surprised that I'm finally getting to spend some time with you outside of work again" Jackson smiles as we walk around the park. We've been seeing each other for a little over a month now and I love spending time with him whenever I can, but work has been so busy lately that we really haven't been able to see each other outside of the hospital, so we decided to grab breakfast this morning before going to the park to just get a chance to walk around and talk.

"I know, we've both been so busy lately with work and Derek's had some complicated cases lately that we've been doing constant research on and discussing whenever I'm home" I explain

"It has to be stressful living with your boss. It's like you're constantly surrounded by work" he says

"Not really, I mean if Derek was just my boss then maybe, but he's also my best friend so most of the time it's more fun then stressful and I really love my job so I don't mind the extra work" I shrug

"Well that's not surprising. I'm pretty sure you've clocked in more hours then any other resident at the hospital" he says

"What can I say? I have a passion for my job and I have to work extra hard to keep my spot at the top with your friends working at the hospital now too" I say

"I promise they're not that bad if you give them a chance" he says

"I don't see that happening" I say

"You know you're a tough one Garcia. I know not to ever get on your bad side" he says making me laugh

"So how are you enjoying being a resident at Seattle Grace" I ask

"It's nice, different from Mercy West, but I'm growing used to it. I don't think your friends appreciate having me around much yet though" he says

"Just give them some time. They still think of you as one of the enemies that's here to steal our jobs" I say

"I know they do, but as long as you want me around I don't care how anyone else feels" he smirks

"Well I always want you around so you don't have to ever worry about that" I smile. I'm not sure where things are going with Jackson and I, but I know that I'm definitely starting to care about him and I can't wait to see how things go for us in the future.

Holidays

"This is the first and only year I'm taking off for Thanksgiving, Avery so don't get used to it" I say as I finish applying my makeup. Jackson is more of a holiday person then I am and he really wanted to take off today and spend time with friends, especially after all of the things we've went through with the shooting earlier this year. This is also our first Thanksgiving as an official couple, I mean we were dating last Thanksgiving, but we weren't boyfriend and girlfriend yet. I wanted to work today, but since it was so important to Jackson to have today off to spend with each other I agreed to it.

"Come on. This will be fun. We're residents, we barely get anytime off, we should enjoy it" he smiles

"But think of all of the surgeries we're missing out on. You know the holidays are always super packed" I whine
