The end of an age

    The Dark Flash dodges the arrow and holds the Green Arrow in a choke. He faces everyone and leans down into his former friend's ear.

THE DARK FLASH: "Now, let's get started."

    He pushed the Green Arrow to the ground, who instantly rolled to standing opposite him. He offered another smirk before flashing off and coming back with a certain someone. Felicity Smoak. He held her opposite the Green Arrow and stared him down with a deathly, insane, stare. He spoke as his hand floated fown to behind Felicity's back, vibrating.

THE DARK FLASH: "Ironic isn't it. You put all that effort into trying to stop me. You put all that effort into trying to kill her. We're not that different. In fact, now, we're the same as each other."

    Felicity's implant gave out from the vibrations from The Dark Flash and her face portrayed her fear. The Green Arrow tightened his grip on his bow before dropping it on the ground and approaching The Dark Flash with his arms outstretched.

    Everyone else stood back, afraid that they would sway the situation into The Dark Flash's hands. Even Kara was tentative to approach. The Green Arrow got within touching distance of the Dark Flash.

GREEN ARROW: "Barry... don't do this."

    The Dark Flash turns Felicity towards him, almost as a human shield, glaring spitefully at his former friend.

THE DARK FLASH: "YOU DON'T GET TO CALL ME THAT! Only... only she got to call me that."

    The Dark Flash's hand moved dangerously close to Felicity's back. He stares his opponent down in resignation. He has to do this. He has to put Oliver through what he's done.

THE DARK FLASH: "Now we're even Oliver."

    He rears his hand back to strike through Felicity as he gets kicked back by the Green Arrow. The Dark Flash stumbles backwards not only from the force of the kick but from shock. The Green Arrow quickly grabbed Felicity from where the Dark Flash once stood and made sure she didn't fall. He quickly threw one of his smaller arrows at the Dark Flash's leg and his opponent fell to the floor, coincidentally next to Caitlin.

    The Green Arrow carefully placed Felicity on the ground and whispered to her before moving away.

GREEN ARROW: "I just need to make sure he's secure..."

    She looked at him affirmatively and he goes to pick up him now before approaching his fallen friend.

    Meanwhile, The Dark Flash had seen he was next to Caitlin's body and his tears began to fall again. He pulled his mask off before and buried his head next to hers, holding her like the world was ending. His head sinks to her shoulder and he whispers to her.

BARRY: "I've... I've... failed Cait... I've failed you. I'm s... so sorry... I'll see you soon, my love."

    Barry doesn't look up. He knows Oliver is standing there, above him. Aiming one of his capture arrows. Pathetic. He could at least put the effort into killing him after what he's done to him.

BARRY: "Oliver...put that stupid arrow down. Pull out a real one. Finish this properly."

OLIVER: "You of all people Barry know I can't do that. I have to take you in, for their sake."

BARRY: "What would you want it you were in my position?"

OLIVER: "I can't Barry, I'm sorry."

    There's a blaze of red lightning and Barry's in exactly the same position. The only difference is that Oliver now has a normal arrow loaded. Barry turns and looks up at him.
