Chapter 9 : One Foreshadowing Conversation

I stared at the letters trying to understand what was written, Or if it even meant anything.

Isang salita lamang ang nakapukaw sa atensyon ko. Pangalan.

"Mhor, It's Acros again." She nodded.

"Totoo pala? Akala ko nakikipag-gaguhan lang sa akin yung mga tao sa presinto. Mayroon pala talagang nagiiwang ng ganito." Komento ni Aiden. I saw Mhorein's eyebrow's met.

Nasa sahig ang tingin ni Mhorein habang nagiisip. Ilang segundo ang lumipas, Nilabas niya ang telepono at nagsalit ng tingin dito at sa papel.

"Who will inherit the throne now that the blood is gone." She said after a couple of minutes.

"Whaaaat?" Pabirong sabi ni Aiden.

"Iyon ang nakalagay, Who will inherit the throne now that the blood is gone."

I opened a social media and saw multiple posts and articles about the death og the Enrile's. Umingay ang usapan tungkol sa kung sino ang magmamana ng kompanya at sino na ang magpapatakbo nito.. I came across a tweet coming from Daniel.

The Enrile's have been found dead in their mansion at Leounet. Since the news has got into us we have been discussing who among us would take over or would we collaborate. We will be sure to inform all of you after the decision. "

"Can I request an autopsy? Deliver it to my office ASAP." Mhorein ordered one of the forensics who's present.

We looked at pieces of evidence infront of us, All of them sealed in a clear plastic bag.

Mhorein examined the dress with bloodstains. She whispered,

"Four to five days old..." I felt my head throb. I dont know if it's the stress or... Something else.

"Tignan niyo yung kilay ng mantsa ng dugo, Kung sino man ang may suot nito... Siya ang unang napatay." I looked at photos of the whole mansion, In and out.

One photo caught my attention. I looked at the giant stairs infront of us and looked behind it. There was a huge brown door, Just like in the photo. I tried opening it but it was locked.

"Mhor, What's in here?" Instead of Mhorein, I heard inspector Arcilla answer.

"Diyan nila pinapatuloy ang mga kasambahay, Chain. Diyan natagpuang patay ang lahat ng mga katulong sa manyon." Narinig siya ji Mhorein kaya lumapit ito sa akin.

"That's something." She said.

She examined the door and tried opening it, Again, It was locked. She took out a plastic card inside her wallet and tried to slide it in the tubular latch. And it opened the door.

"Chain!" I heard inspector Arcilla call me. I looked at Mhorein.

"Magoobserba muna ako dito, I might find something." Tumango ako at hinanap si Inspector Arcilla.

I saw him looking down on me from the second floor. I ran up the stairs.

"May gusto akong itanong sa iyo, Chain." I raised an eyebrow.

"Ano iyon, Inspector? Bakit parang ang seryoso ninyo?" Natatawang tanong ko.

"Buntis si Jane... Alam niyo naman."

"At gusto kong Chester ang ipangalan dito. Tutal ang panganay ko ay Lhearein ang pangalan. Maihahalintulad sa pinakamahusay na utak ng Leounet." Inspector Arcilla smiled.

"Wow... Talaga?"

"Oo, Natututunan narin nga ni Lhear na mahalin ang misteryo at propesyon natin." I smiled.

''That's great, Inspector. I really wish I could have the ssme family as you do." I displayed a lop sided smile.

"Bakit hindi? Bata ka pa, Chain. Marami pa kayong pwedeng gawin ni Mhorein." I cant... I dont have- Nevermind. I smiled.

"Yeah..."

After that conversation I roamed around the second floor for a while.

Pumasok ako sa master's bedroom at naginspeksyon nang bawat sulok at gilid ng kwarto. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Until I noticed a bump on the carpet. I lifted up the carpet. My eyebrow's arched when I saw a huge button. I tried pressing it but only got half way through.

"Son of a bitch..." I whispered under my breath as it got harder to push down.

I stood up and tried to step on it. I jumped on the button then heard a loud crashing sound.

The bookshelf behind me swung open. I blinked multiple times, Trying to proccess what was happening. I looked at the dark room that was revealed.I slowly walked over it.

Pag pasok na pagpasok ko nang nakatagong silid, Nasilaw ako sa iba't ibang uri ng diyamante at gintong kumikinang. Lahat ito ay maayos na nakapaloob sa babasaging kahon.

"Is this a vault or something..." I checked if anything was missing. After looking at every case, Seeing that nothing was even opened, I confirmed that the motive might not be robbery.

Whoever did this didnt want anything in this mansion. Kung sino mang ang nay gawa nito, Yung kompanya o pangalan mismo ng mga Enrile ang habol nila.

I checked the room again, Trying to check if there are more hidden buttons or levers that would lead into somewhere else.

I froze when I heard Aiden screaming.

"Chain! Chain! Si Mhorein, May nangyari kay Mhorein!!"

I rushed down the stairs and fell half way through. I almost blacked out from the pain of tumbling down but I gathered up all my courage to stand up. Mhorein needs me. Even when Im limping, I looked around trying to find where they are.

With everyone scattered sround the mansion, Everyone else ran back to the living room when they heard Aiden. Inspector Arcilla looked behind me.

I felt my heart stop when I saw Mhorein on the stretcher being carried by the paramedics. They were rushing to get her into the ambulance.
