MHOREIN

I opened the bathroom door and saw Chain staring at the door. I walked over to him to see what the fuss is about.

A woman with long black hair and a leather jacket, Accesorized with black glasses is accompanied by a man wearing a plain black shirt and someone who seems to be a police officer. People around them cheered like they were some sort of celebrity.

The woman saw us and raised an eyebrow. Chain stood beside me as they walked over to us.

"Excuse me, But I dont think youre allowed to meddle with these kinds of stuff." Said the woman before looking at me up and down.

"Detective Gelene Alejo. " She introduced herself and removed her glasses.

"Detective Mhorein Layla Agustin." I offered a hand that she was quick to reject.

"Detective Arvin Rhein Salazar." He flashed a smile. Gelene lightly hit him.

"Detective Chain Yuan Castranuevo."

"You can go now, We'll handle this." Gelene pushed me aside. Wow. Rude.

"No, I dont think we'll do that." Gelene stopped in her tracks and faced me.

"Excuse me? I dont even know you. Hell. " She bitterly chuckled.

"I dont even know if you two are real detectives." She looked me in the eye while Arvin stopped him.

"Gel... I dont think it's a good idea saying that to them." The officer said.

"At bakit hindi?" Gelene raised an eyebrow.

"They're the greatest detectives of Leounet and that's... " He looked at Chain.

"A Castranuevo." Gelene stared at us.

"A Castranuevo or THE Castranuevo?" She walked towards Chain and scanned him.

"Yeah, I dont like both of you. So if you dont mind going back to your city,"

"We can handle our own cases. No, Thank you. " She flipped her hair and faced the corpse. She snapped three times.

"May tumawag na ba ng paramedic?" Tanong ni Gelene.

"Yeah, We already di-" She cut me off.

"I wasnt asking you... Detective." She knelt down. me. I couldnt help raise an eyebrow.

"Im sorry but I think we have the right to interfere. Since Lezran's detectives show up late."

"Mhor... Pabayaan mo na sila. Bumalik na tayo sa kwarto natin." Chain grabbed my arm.

"No. Tayo ang nauna dito." I clenched my fist.

"Sorry, Na-late kami- Detective Agustin?"

"Sir." I shook his hand. He smiled.

"Bakit naman kayo inabot sa Lezran?" He asked.

"Looking for a colleague, He wouldnt have happened to fall into your supervision, right?" I asked.

"Blah blah. Can we just get the baby out of here so we can get started. " Gelene butted in.

"Gelene, Arvin, Clark. Nakilala niyo na ba sila? Mahuhusay itong dalawang ito." Inspector Leto chuckled.

"Oo naman, Inspector. Im a huge fan. " The officer, Apparently his name is Clark, Said. Arvin just smiled.

"Baka naman gusto mong tumulong, Clark? Instead of blabbering with these useless detectives!" Gelene scolded her company. I was about to walk towards her but Chain stopped me.

"Woah, woah. Gelene. Hinay hinay pagsasalita mo. Big time ang dalawang ito. Kung magtutulungan kayo baka hindi umabot ng isang oras ang kasong ito." Inspector Leto said.

We havent worked together but we're good friends. He's seen us deduce an entire murder case within a few hours on the scene when we still worked for Inspector Arcilla.

"I dont need their help." Gelene stood up and faced us.

"Arvin? Clark? Mind helping?"

"Excuse my partner but I think you'd be a great help. Since nauna naman kayo dito at kanina pa kayo. Sigurado akong may nahanap na kayong importanteng evidence." Arvin looked at me.

"The killer's probably schizophrenic." I pulled the bottle out of my pocket and tossed it to Arvin. He caught it and read the label.

"She's right, These are antipsychotics. Salamat." Arvin smiled.

"I found I. D. 's around and a notebook I havent opened yet." Chain said.

"What? Where?" Gelene asked.

"Ito ba?" Clark held up a notebook. Chain nodded. Gelene rolled her eyes.

"He's a journalist. Alex Morgan, Thirty-One years old. He checked in yesterday with his wife and their baby." Clark flipped through the pages.

"Well, Isnt that obvious?" Arvin commented.

"They are originally from Leounet..." Clark continued reading.

"Well I guess that means we do have the rights here." Tumawa ako. Gelene death glared me.

"You know what? I'll just get to work since you bimbos dont want to." Gelene walked over to the kitchen.

I started looking around as well. Chain handed me a fresh pair of gloves. We started to raid the whole room while the Crime Scene Specialists took photos of the body.

"Hey look." Chain handed me a phone he found under the bed. It didnt have a password so I didnt have a hard time unlocking it.

The wallpaper displays a family photo of an older blonde woman, Around fifty or sixty years old. My first instict was to check the messages. I clicked on the recent chat. It had multiple messages sent from the owner of the phone but not a single reply from a contact named Mom.

(I guess mother always knows best. Haha.)

(Pwede naman, Siguro. Kelan ka ba uuwi ma?)

(Ayoko inumin yun, Ma.

(Youre right... He has to know how it feels. Thanks mom. Xoxo)

"I think I have an idea on what actually happened here."
