We got out of our hiding spot and revealed ourselves slowly. I composed myself, Trying not to panic.

Wala manlang emosyon na naipinta sa mukha ni Daniel Lucas. Parang hindi niya naisip na nahuli namin siya o wala talaga siyang pakialam

"Fancy seeing you here, Detectives." Tinitigan lang namin siya. Napuno ng katahimikan ang paligid hanggang sa magsalita sa Mhorein.

"Yeah, Of course. What brings you here?"

"You know, Just an early dinner before my flight to Chicago." Tumango si Mhorein.

"We've been waiting for you to go in the restroom, Cause Chain needs to go. " Tinignan niya ako.

"Oh, Where are my manners? Im so sorry, You can go in now. I wasnt gonna use it anyway." I looked at him and entered the rest room.

Mabilis kong tinignan sng telepono ko kung nabasa na ba ni Inspector Arcilla ang mga voicemail na ipinadala ko sa kanya. I sighed in relief when I read 'seen' bellow the messages.

He's typing.

'Nasaan kayo?'

'Jackson Seliament Resto.' I replied.

'Good. Malapit lang kami, Bigyan niyo ki ng sampung minuto. '

I got out of the restroom and saw Mhorein and Aiden waiting for me.

"Where is he?"

"Back at his table, Parang walang nangyari." To be honest, It bothers me that he isnt even nervous or showing any signs of it.

Pwede niya kaming saktan, Lalo na si Mhorein nang hindi manlang nakakaramdam ng kahit anong konsensya o emosyon.

Not to mention the fact that he probably masacred a whole family and mansion of servants, Without showing guilt or anything.

"He's a fucking psychopath..." Mhorein whispered. She might have been thinking of the same thing.

"Has anyone called the office?" Mhorein asked. I nodded.

"Less than 10 minutes away. " Sagot ko. We were all standing at the restroom entrance, Since it had a good view of Daniel's table.

A couple more minutes passed and police cars parked infront of the restaurant. Daniel Lucas stood up calmly after finishing his food.

"Taas ang kamay!" Everyone in the restaurant panicked.

"Daniel Lucas, You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to speak to an attorney, and to have an attorney present during any questioning." Inspector Arcilla held a gun and with other policemen.

Mabilis kaming kumilig at tumakbo papalapit kay Inspector.

"Ah. As expected." Habang timatagal mas lalo akong natatakot sa lalaking nasa harapan namin.

He put his hands up surrendering. Still, No emotion shown. I held Mhorein's hand. There is no way of determining what is going on inside this man's head.

"Sa likod ang nga kamay, Daniel Lucas. Bilisan mo." Kalmadong sabi ni Inspector Arcilla. Lucas did what was ordered.

I expected more drama and a crazy goose chase but no. Nothing. A serial killer calmly surrendered. Which makes it more nerve wracking. It makes me think he has so much more in store. And could harm us in a second.

Minutes went by and he was just escorted into one of the cars.

"Psychotic. I mean, What kind of normal human being will be able to do something like that?" Mhorein took a deep breath and sighed.

"Sumama lang siya sa kanila. Na parang wala lang. Na parang may tiwala ito sa mga pulis." Aiden said.

"He couldve been guilty. Enough to make himself believe that he needs to be punished." Mhorein suggested.

"I dont believe that he actually had emotions. Mostly guilt. If he had, He wouldn't have killed a whole family and multiple other people in that mansion." Both of them looked at me.

"Baka na-late na ang konsensya niya?" Sabi ni Aiden.

"It doesnt matter. As long as that bastard's behind bars, We did our job right." I said.

"Kalyan's debut is in a week. Ano ang plano mo?" I just remembered that.

"Sino si Kalyan?" Aiden asked.

"My half sister." His eyes glimmered.

"Oooh. Pwede ba akong sumama? Please?"

"That would be great." Him and Mhorein being there with me would make everything so much better.

"Well... The theme is masquarade. Black and gold. I'll see you guys there."

After these events I was hoping Mhorein would want to go home. Fortunately she does.

"Im tired, Hon." Im driving us home since she cant.

"I'll be staying at your place for a while. Para labg makasigurong maayos at ligtas ka. " She just smiled at me and closed her eyes.

After a three hour long drive from the middle of Leounet to her appartment, We finally got home.

She didnt talk all the way and immediately fell asleep as soon as she layed down. She's so exhausted.

I checked my phone for emails and messages until I saw one from a familiar name.

Greetings, Chain Yuan. You know who I am by now. Take this as a warning and a clue. Take care of Mhorein. Watch everything she does snd eats. You'll never know. Maybe there's a vengeful criminal mastermind after her. Check her every move. And everything that gets into contact with her. Goodluck! Have fun while Im still playing. You wont like it when i get serious :)

Bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko. I looked at Mhorein beside me and deleted the email. Putangina niya. Hindi niya masasaktan or kahit titigan manlang ng masama si Mhorein. I'll protect Mhorein even if it's the last thing I'll do.

Tumayo ako at inekspeksyon ang bawat pinto bintana ng apartment. Just to make sure theyre locked. This asshole knew how to get into my head.

Muntik na akong mapatalon nang marinig ang telepono kong malakas na tinatawag ang aking atensyon. I ran towards it, Hoping it didnt wake Mhorein up. It's an unknown number.

"Hello?"

"Chain..." It's Aiden. Bakit parang umiiyak siya

"Ai, What happened? Why are you crying?"

"Si Inspector Arcilla... Wala na siya, Chain... Patay na si Inspector. Naaksidente sila." I almost dropped my phone upon hearing the news.

"Ano? Paano? What happened?"

"Si Daniel Lucas. That psychipath... Binangga niya ang sinasakyan nila. Pinasabog niya ang sasakyan, Sinunod niya sila!" Hindi ko alam kung anong sasabihin ko.

"Asaan si Daniel?" Aiden sobbed.

"Hindi namin alam..."
