"This is Wayne. He's a friend. Who's the chick?" Leti says, looking over at Jason.
"Leti?" Jason asked, letting go of the girl's hand and walking towards her. He studied her face for a while.
"It's me." she whispered.
"You look different."
"So do you. She your girlfriend?"
"Her name's Mia. She's from here."
"She's cute."
"Wayne your boyfriend?"
She rolls her eyes. "I clearly said he was a friend."
"I got a feeling you want him to be more than that but I'll keep my mouth shut." He winks at her and smiles back at the crew.
"This is going to be an interesting ass weekend." Mike says and Ryan nods in agreement.
Later on, Wayne and Leti were sharing a room and she was picking her clothes out for tomorrow while he made up the beds. Mack walks in and Leti pulls her in for a hug.
"You look so beautiful." she says to her.
"So do you. Wayne, this is Mackenzie."
"Hey, nice to meet you." Wayne says, smiling at her.
"You too."
Mack leans in closer to Leti, "Ooh. He's cute." she whispers.
"I get it. So, I see Jason found a mate."
"Not exactly a mate."
"Then what? Someone to help him with his needs."
"I think it's better if he told you himself." She walks out and Leti lays down on the bed.
"Was that the famous Jason McCann?" Wayne asks her.
"He's shorter in person, I know."
He laughs. "No no. I could still see the chemistry."
"What chemistry? That chemistry is long gone. Trust me."
"If you say so."
A knock was heard and Danny walks in.
She sits up and smiles. "This is the real king, Danny, my brother."
"I've heard so much about you." Wayne holds out his hand.
Danny walks over, shaking his hand. "Wish I could say the same," he mumbles and he clears his throat, "I hope you enjoy your stay though. I'm glad you're here, Leti."
He smiles lightly and walks out. Leti was confused why he was being really short with her. She groaned, laying back down and hoping tomorrow would be a better day.
Next morning, everyone was still cooking. They finished in a few hours, leaving the crew to get ready. They all sat down in the dining room at the big, long table. Leti, Wayne and Danny sat across from Justin and his new girl, Mia. She was wearing a black dress that showed off her sides a little with a pair of red heels. The boys were gawking at her and Jason told them to relax which made Leti annoyed already.
Ryan decided to bless the table and they all begin eating. There was a lot of conversation, of course. One thing Leti really wanted to say was who was Mia exactly. If she wasn't his girlfriend, who was she? Mia got up for a second and she knew this was the perfect opportunity.
"So, Jason. Who is Mia exactly?" she finally asked, playing with her food.
"She's a new addition to the family." he says before taking a bite out of his food.
"As in?"
"As in an addition."
"Don't play dumb with me."
The crew got quiet and the sound of forks hitting plates was filling the silence.
"I'm not playing dumb. I answered your question."
Wayne paid attention to Leti, realizing her jealousy.
"No, you didn't. You never do."
"Why do you even care, Leti? You come to Chicago to start drama all over again."
"I was invited, thank you very much!"
"Then maybe you should uninvite yourself."
Mike and Ricky snickers.
"Still the same asshole even after a couple of months."
"Still the same slut after a couple of months."
Mack gasps and Danny shakes his head in disappointment. She stared at him blankly.
Mike stood up, holding up his glass. "I would like to make a toast to the most amazing group of friends I have ever had. And Leti, I'm really glad you're here. And let's also make a toast to our newest member of The Scorpios."
Mia sits back down and smiles at him. The crew all take a sip, trying to avoid any other conversation.
"What?" Leti rolls her eyes and stares at him.
