Me, Mal and Evie hide from Zevon behind a tree. It's a chunky tree. We sit down.

"This sucks." Evie sighs.

"We need to do something." Mal looks at me.

"It ain't over til it's over." I smile.

"It's already over." Evie grabs my hand.

"We've got the strength of a fighter." I place a hand on Mal's shoulder.

"Give us some more motivation." Mal smiles.

"Gonna rock this house. We're gonna prove we're never gonna give up." I say. We stand up. "We're dancing up on a wire."

"E, mirror us." Mal smirks.

"Magic mirror, show your bright light!" Evie shouts, but Zevon zaps it.

"Ew!" I gag. The mirror shows us old reflections. We're finally old people.

"It's ok." Mal looks at Evie. "First adventure? Mirrors?"

"Got it." Evie takes a deep breath. "Mummy dust, to make me look old." The wrinkles disappear. "To shroud my clothes, black of night." We are wearing our own clothes again. "To age my voice, an old hag's crackle." Our voices turn normal. "To whiten my hair, a scream of fright." Our hair becomes normal. "A blast of wind to fan my hate, a thunderbolt to mix it well, now reverse this magic spell." We are completely normal once again. Me and Mal side hug Evie.

"You're the best!" Mal grabs my hand.

"Aw, I love you guys too!" Evie hugs us back. We crouch down.

"How are we suppose to defeat Zevon? Not even the golden rule can save us at this point." I sigh.

"Golden rule?" Evie looks confused.

"Whoever has the most gold makes the rules. Jay taught me it. He saved us from the Mouth of Wonders on the quest to retrieve the Dragon Eye." I roll my eyes.

"Of course he did." Mal mumbles. "We all had a specialty on that adventure." Mal smiles.

"Mine was the Peace Rock and the Water Trust, Carlos's was the riddles which he's told a million times to me and I've memorised every single one off by heart, Jay's was the Mouth of Wonders, Evie's was the mirrors that made us look elderly and Mal's was the sceptre." I grin from ear to ear.

"Wow." Mal smirks.

"I really miss the boys." I sit down and pull my knees up to my chest. "Jay would know what to do right now."

"He would just run into battle." Mal rolls her eyes.

"Exactly. Wait." I stand up. "Hey, Zevon!" I run onto the field.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't the adopted Khan." Zevon smirks.

"Just close your mouth for a minute." I pick up a stone. "And I may be adopted, but I can fight any battle." I throw the stone at him. It hits him in the nose. I laugh uncontrollably.

"What is wrong with you?" He asks me.

"Madeline Hightopp is my partner in Art and Tyler Hightopp is my partner in Mathematics. Don't judge." I smile.

"Here you go!" Zevon sends flying diamonds at me. I dodge every one. "Kapow!" A bloodstone stabs me in my left leg. I fall down and more hit me.
