(Logicality) a teacher's confession

It was the end of a long school day, Patton waved his elementary school students goodbye while Logan bid his own highschool students a good day, while doing so a pair of students stayed behind. “Wait Virgil, I want you to see something.” Roman held onto his friend's arm and hid behind a wall. “You see that teacher over there?” He pointed over to Patton who was now sitting patiently at bench with a small smile on his face. “Yeah what about him?” Virgil asked. “Okay now look over there.” He gestured over to Logan who stared at Patton with a light blush creeping to his face. He nervously played with his tie.

Virgil looked surprised but he then shook it off. “It's just hot out. Besides our teacher is literally emotionless, completely nonchalant.” He said with a frown, Roman pouted. “Don't be such a Debbie Downer.” He mumbled and crossed his arms, meanwhile Logan walked up the the bubbly teacher who happily hummed a rhyme to himself, when he caught Logan walking up to him he grinned. “Afternoon Logan." He nodded to him.

Logan felt his blush worsen. “Afternoon Patton, are you headed home?” He asked. “Well I am suppose to, but my car is at the shop, so I guess I'll be walking.” Patton shrugged. “Nonsense, I'll be glad to take you home.” Logan insisted, Patton looked up at him in surprise. “Really?” He gaped at him. “Of course, I'd be ha...happy to.” He stammered out, Patton gasped and leapt up to his feet. “Thank you so much!” He giggled and without thinking gave the other teacher a tight hug which startled him.

A warm feeling filled his chest and before he even knew it he hesitantly returned the hug awkwardly wrapping his arms around the other, when Patton realized what he had done he grew very flustered and immediately backed away releasing him from the hug, from afar a faint sound of screeching could be heard, Logan cleared his throat and scratched the back of his neck and shifted his gaze. “We should go.” He said.

Patton nodded and followed close behind him to his car, Logan being the gentleman he was opened the door for his friend and asked if he were comfortable. “I'm great, thanks so much.” He smiled, Logan blushed and muttered a quick 'you're welcome' before he shut the door and climbed into the drivers seat, he started the car and drove off.

The two students from earlier had witnessed everything and Roman was literally having a fanboy moment, he jumped up and down and screeched happily while Virgil groaned and covered his ears. “Alright alright calm down.” He growled and took hold of his arm. “Let's go weirdo.” He said and dragged him along with him.

The next day after school was over Patton was helping a smaller student tie their shoes before they skipped off to their mother, Logan, who had been watching, thought the teacher looked rather adorable he had a sort of a motherly father vibe to him, but at times he sometimes acted like a child too, but either way he thought he looked cute. Ever since yesterday he had developed strange feelings for the other, they both knew each other for quite a while and they got along well.

The same students from yesterday once again stayed after everyone else was gone and waited till Logan went to greet the other, Roman nodded to Roman and together they both walked up to the pair, Logan was about to say something until he was interrupted by his two students. “Roman? Virgil? What are you two doing here? Have your parents not arrived yet?” He asked with concern lacing his voice. “That doesn't matter! I need to know,” He trembled in excitement “What is it?” Logan frowned.

Virgil gave the teachers a curious look and then both he and Roman asked. “are you gay?” Both teachers flushed at the question, Patton squeaked and flushed bright red and Logan tried to recollect his composure. “N-now kiddos that's a very personal question.” Patton started, but before he could say anything else Logan stopped him and took a few calming breaths. “Patton, I've known you for a long time, and I've never really taken my emotions to heart, but ever since yesterday when you embraced me I couldn't stop thinking about you and how much happiness I felt.”

He continued. “I've never felt anything like this before and I hope I never stop feeling like this, meeting you was one of the best things that has ever happened to me.” He gave Patton a small smile. “I've developed romantic feelings for you Patton.” He uttered, Patton stared at him with wide teary eyes, he jumped to his feet and squeezed Logan tight. “You have no idea how happy I am!” He buried his face in the crook of his neck. “I feel the same too, I've always had! I was just so scared that you wouldn't like me back, but now,” he sniffed. “I can finally do this!” He pulled back from the embrace and lovingly kissed Logan.

Roman squealed happily while Virgil groaned. “Gross.” He averted his gaze feeling like he was invading their privacy and took a cautious step back. “Oh! Right we'll get going then, bye teach!” Roman grinned and dashed off leaving the couple together, when they both pulled away to catch their breath Patton giggled and lightly pinched Logan's cheeks. “I love you.” He said in a sing song voice enjoying the way the words rolled off his tongue, Logan chuckled the feeling in his chest filling him up to the brim. “I love you too.”

And together they went home with their hands linked and their hearts full of love, neither one of them taking their eyes off of each other.

The next day when they both arrived to work Roman had ambushed them and demanded answers for his many questions he asked, Virgil had to drag him away and apologized to the teachers while scolding his friend, Patton laughed and looked up at Logan. “I have to get going, I'll see you at lunch?” He questioned. “Definitely, though I don't know if I can wait that long.” Logan stated. “You'll live.” Patton reassured. “Hopefully." Logan smiled and kissed the top of his head. “Have a good day love.” He whispered to him. “You too cookie.” Patton cooed and gave him a quick peck on the cheek.

He watched Patton leave and returned to his own class, he walked up to the board that read 'welcome to psychology class' and caught his students attention. “Alright class, today we'll be focusing on one topic.” He smiled and nodded to his students as they kept their eyes on him waiting to hear what their new lesson was, he chuckled and finished. ”Our topic will be...”
