Virgil blushed as he swayed side to side with the prince. It wasn't his idea, it was all Roman's. What really surprised him though was how exactly Roman got him to actually slow dance with him. Virgil was rather confused himself. He was never one to dance, heck he was never one to do anything that involved physical activity.

But somehow Roman got him to dance, and he would be lying if he said he wasn't enjoying it. He adored the way Roman smiled and hummed along with the song, it was from beauty and the beast, and while Virgil didn't mind it he was still a little uncomfortable. Roman who had been watching him the whole time took notice of the way he shuffled instead of following his steps, and how he shifted his gaze trying to avoid his own. “Love...” Roman took hold of his chin and lifted it up so that they could meet each others gazes.

Virgil blushed beneath his gaze and resisted the urge to look away. “W-what is it?” He stuttered. Roman grinned and spun around with him, Virgil yelped and grasped onto his arms. “Watch it!” He hissed, but a hint of a smile tugged at his lips. Roman looked at him with pleading eyes and Virgil suddenly knew what he wanted. “Ugh not that again.” He groaned and slumped his shoulders in defeat.

Roman whimpered and tugged at his hands. “Please, just this once and then that's it!” He begged. Virgil sighed and chewed his bottom lip and hummed in thought before he gave in and once again groaned. “Okay fine, but if things go overboard I'm going to separate us by force. I'm not going to hurt you like that.” He warned, Roman took hold of his hands and gave him a reassuring look. “You can never hurt me.”

Virgil took a deep breath and nodded to him. Roman smiled and they continued their dance without haste,  but this time Virgil was into it, for Roman he would do anything. He yelped as Roman twirled him and then wrapped his arms around his waist keeping him steady. “I always hate this part." Virgil muttered in a dark tone. “Oh you love it.” Roman chuckled and pressed a kiss on his cheek before he scooped him up into his arms and captured his lips in his own.

Virgil clung to Roman, afraid that he would fall, and then he returned the loving kiss. And before he knew it he felt a strong spark in his chest and then everything changed.

With a puff of smoke the pair suddenly became one, and when the smoke settled and cleared in their place stood a fusion.

They were short, probably because they were slouching, dark bags rested under their red and purple eyes, they wore a glittery hoodie and a small crown rested on top of their head. “Ah it's been so long!” They exclaimed and stretched. “It's all too much to take in...” They suddenly cowered away and hugged themselves. “Nonsense! It's exciting! There's so many things to experience!” When their personality change, so did the color of their eyes.

When Roman was in control the fusion's eyes were glowing more red, and when Virgil was in control the purple would be more prominent. “We've gotta show the others.” The fusion grinned and skipped out of the imagination and into the living room where Logan and Patton were recently watching a movie together. The fusion's eyes went to a dull purple. “We shouldn't disturb them..” They whispered.

“No it's okay! We've got this under control—do we really?” They froze. “Yes...” They whispered and straightened their posture. Well they tried to. They took a breath and skipped into the living room, their eyes now bright red, and stood in front of the couple who sat on the couch getting their attention in an instant. The brightness in their eyes suddenly faltered. “Uhm..h-hi.” They stuttered and looked around.

“This isn't right...” They whispered to themselves. “No it's okay! We're okay.” They tried to reassure themselves. Patton was the first to react, he jumped from his spot on the couch and circled the fusion with a huge smile on his face. “Roman? Virgil? Kiddos!? You look amazing!” He squealed, the fusion suddenly smiled at the attention and compliment. “Thank you Patton. That really means a lot.” They nodded.

“An odd mix, but it's quite exquisite.” Logan nodded. The fusion blushed and thanked the intelligent trait. “What's your name?” Patton suddenly asked. The fusion froze where they stood and frowned. Shoot we don't have a name do we?  By the look on their face Patton knew what was wrong. “You guys must be new to this. That's perfect!” He hummed in thought and bit his thumb nail before he gasped and jumped up startling the fusion and his boyfriend. “I got it!”

“You guys will be Prinxiety for now!” He giggled.

The fusion looked at him nervously. “Prinxiety?..” They whispered. They enjoyed the ring to it. “I like it.” They grinned. “We should show Thomas.” Patton suggested happily. The fusion flinched. “No—why not?—He can't know.” They argued with themselves. Their eyes constantly changing colors. “It'll be okay—this is fusion, what's more important to us than fusion?” They huffed. “But we showed them!” They pointed to Patton and Logan who stared at them with concern. “Because they understand what this is! If Thomas found out it would all be over!—how do you know that for sure?” They breathed raggedly. “I...we just do...” They muttered.

Patton took a cautious step toward them. “Kiddos it's okay, you should calm down..” He warned in a soothing tone. The fusion backed away, their eyes glowing both red and purple at the same time. “They're exceeding their limit. They can't hold together much longer.” Logan explained as he pulled Patton away from the trembling fusion. “Hey it's okay..” They whispered. “No it's not!” They suddenly yelled. “W-we really should calm down now.” Their voice shook. Prinxiety clutched at their head and cried out. “We need to stop!!” They yelled aloud startling both Logan and Patton.

And in a flash of light the fusion was gone leaving a very disheveled Virgil and Roman sitting on the ground. Dazed. The prince stayed quiet as he slowly stood, still pretty shaken up, and quickly Virgil scrambled to his feet and ran to the prince tackling him with a tight hug. “I'm so sorry.” He whimpered and pulled back from the embrace to look him over. “Are you hurt? Are you in any pain at all?” He asked feverishly running a hand through his boyfriend's hair. Roman chuckled and shook his head. “I'm fine sunshine. Are you okay? Your breathing is okay right? You can breathe well?” He questioned anxiously taking notice of how pale he had gotten.

“Who cares?” Virgil asked with a soft smile.

Roman grinned already knowing the iconic line. He cupped his boyfriend's cheek.

“I do.”

And they pulled each other into a tight embrace. “I love you so much Virgil. I should've taken your feelings to heart. I never meant to hurt you.” Roman kissed his cheek and forehead. Virgil smirked and nuzzled into his boyfriend. “I forgive you. I'm just glad you're not hurt. And we'll tell Thomas one day, but I'm just not ready yet. Heck I can barely stay stable when I'm with you.” He joked.

Roman nodded and sighed in relief. “Are you kidding? When I'm with you, I'm whole.”

Virgil blushed.

“Well, when I'm with you. I feel like I'm no longer a mistake. I feel loved, and accepted, and so happy.”

“But most of all...”

“You make me feel special. Like I'm finally worth something.”
