It was a warm and sunny afternoon, and rather than enjoying the beautiful day outside, Roman and Virgil lied in bed together. Both in each others arms, facing each other, their foreheads were pressed together. Roman gazed longingly at his lover, admiring ever detail of his face. He brought his hand up and stroked his flushed cheek. Virgil tried his best not to blush but it was useless. Roman always made him blush.

Roman smiled at him, and for a moment Virgil forgot how to breathe. He absolutely loved his smile and how his eyes would brighten ever so slightly. He loved the cute dimples on his face and how his hair would brush against his face. Virgil soon found himself running his fingers through his boyfriend's soft hair, the prince sighed in content, letting his hand rest on Virgil's jaw.

The dark trait giggled and scooted closer to him, he hesitated for a moment before he quickly pecked Roman's soft, pink, kissable lips. The prince's smile widened and he quietly laughed as Virgil suddenly hid his face in his chest. He played with his hair and pressed a kiss to his head, trying to ease him out of his hiding spot. When that didn't work he quietly called out his name in a singsong voice, Virgil peeked up at him with those big beautiful eyes of his and flushed red when Roman grinned charmingly at him.

The royal cooed at him and cupped his cheek with one hand while the other cupped the back of his head. “Te quiero mucho mi amor.” Roman whispered to him. Virgil frowned questionably at him and slightly tilted his head. He then hummed in thought before he replied. “Je t'aime aussi mon amour.” Roman froze, holding a shocked expression before he shook from his stupor and shakily laughed. “Impressive my love.” He mumbled and moved his arms to wrap around his waist.

Virgil yawned and snuggled closer to him, pressing himself against his boyfriend's chest. He breathed in his comforting scent of roses and cologne and relaxed against him. Roman buried his face in his hair and shut his eyes. “Strawberry shampoo?” He laughed. Virgil grumbled. “It was a gift from Patton.” He replied in his defense. Roman let it go and squeezed him tight, holding him against his chest, over his heart, right where he belonged.

And then a moment of comforting silence dragged on, the only sound that was made was their hushed breathing and quiet hums. Virgil soon found himself growing tired and sleepy, he curled closer to Roman, closing any possible gaps between them, and closed his eyes. Roman rested his chin on top of his head and held him loosely in his arms so he wouldn't be uncomfortable or hurt. “Sweet dreams my sunshine.” He mumbled drowsily.

Virgil hummed softly and slowly drifted off to sleep. Roman following him soon after.

And the afternoon dragged on perfectly as the couple slept soundly in each others arms.
