Logan instantly noticed a drastic change when Patton trudged in the kitchen lacking his usual enthusiasm. His eyes were dull and glazed over missing their usual happy glow.

Patton wanted to cry, he didn't have a specific reason as to why he wanted to cry, but he knew he was close to breaking down, and it was going to happen very soon. Logan, getting worried over his unnatural silence, walked up to him stopping the once happy trait where he stood. “Patton?  Dear what's the matter?” He asked quietly and brushed the hair that hung over his eyes.

Patton looked up at his concerned boyfriend and tried to give him a convincing smile. “Nothing's wrong, I'm fine, don't worry--" He was immediately cut off by a choke, and then the tears came. His smile faltered, large fat tears rolled down his cheeks, hiccups erupted from his trembling lips.

Logan quickly gathered him up in his arms, holding his trembling figure tight, not asking him any more questions as to why he was upset. He just knew Patton needed comfort, and he was willing to give it to him for any amount of pain it would take. For Patton, he was willing to do anything for him. Anything to ease his pain, and to protect his smile, his innocence, his happiness.

With a snap of his fingers Logan teleported them to his room, Patton clung to him digging his nails into his back and nuzzling his teary face against his neck. Logan carded his fingers through his hair, not caring that his shirt was being soaked with tears, and just held him, no words were exchanged and that was okay. He sat down on his bed bringing Patton onto his lap who refused to let him go, it was as if he were afraid that Logan would disappear if he were to let go of him.

It took half an hour for Patton to finally calm down, and when he did he was utterly exhausted, after all his crying he had eventually tired himself out. When his grip loosened Logan conjured a glass of water, Patton took the glass with shaky hands and drank the water halfway, when he placed it on the counter near the bed Logan gently lied him down and lied next to him.

Patton scooted closer to him wrapping himself around him, Logan returned the gesture and held him close pressing his lips against his temple. The couple stayed together in the bed, cuddling, nothing more. Logan soon broke the comforting silence. “Love, I understand you don't need a direct reason to cry, sometimes things become a bit overwhelming and we all have our breaking points. But I just want you to know that if you ever feel like you need to cry and just want a cuddle, I'll always be by your side all the way.” He promised.

Patton could feel a new set of tears pricking at his eyes, but he quickly wiped them away and gave his boyfriend a silent “thank you.” knowing well enough that Logan didn't have to deal with his problems, but he chose to do so, and that made him extremely happy.

He cuddled up against him and let out a long, shaky sigh. “I love you Darling.” Logan whispered to him. Patton sniffled and ferociously wiped at his eyes. "I-I love you more." He blubbered happily. After many kisses were exchanged the pair eventually fell asleep in each others arms.
