As soon as we entered the small, secluded shop I was instantly greeted with the overwhelming smells of spray paint, pleather, and crazy glue. I looked around the room and immediately noticed that the walls were decorated, or more like completely covered with various types of masks. Whole face, half face, plain, colorful, scary, extravagant, you name it, he had it.

"Wow. This guy puts a whole lot of effort into his work, huh?" I say softly, still mesmerized by the many masks that seemed to be everywhere you look.

Out of the corner of my eye I see Touka nod her head slightly. I let my feet guide me around the room before they come to a stop right in front of a small table that looks to be used as some sort of desk. The table was practically pushed against the wall, the only hing separating it from the concrete barrier was a small wooden stool. On top of the table were various drawings and illustrations of masks that seem to be in progress. Each drawing was done with such attention to detail and the pictures seemed to be created with such graceful strokes that I couldn't help but reach out and begin to shuffle through them.

'Maybe I can find some inspiration for my own mask in here-'  I wonder as I hum softly before a large, rough hand wraps around my wrist, causing me to drop the papers I was holding immediately.

"Don't touch." I hear a monotone voice whisper into my ear. I jerk my head to the side where I heard the voice and I'm suddenly met with a pair of dark black eyes with a bright red pupil.

'A ghoul. Of course.'

I look him up and down and take in his state. His skin is littered with dark ink that ran up and down his arms and I couldn't help but notice the tattoo on his neck. He stares at me intently and his grip on my wrist tightens a bit. I stare back with the same amount of curiosity.

"(y/n), this is Uta. Uta, (y/n)." Touka says blandly.

Uta nods his head gently and releases my wrist before taking a step back and looking me up and down. He tilts his head to the side and the corner of his lips tilt upward slightly.

"Hm, so you're the infamous half-ghoul that everyone has taken such a feverous interest in? I thought you had quite a flavorful aroma. Forgive me, but I did expect you to be so..."

"Short? Yeah, like I haven't heard that one before." I shoot him a quick glare before taking a quick glance at Touka.

She walks up behind Uta and playfully punches his arm before making a beeline to my side.

"What?" Uta chuckles some.

"We came here to get (y/n) a mask. You think you can do it?" Touka asks him, her eyes scanning over the papers that I took interest in earlier.

"Oh Touka, is that even a question?" Uta says, using his arms to prop himself up as he leans against a table placed in the middle of the room.

"How soon do you need it?" He asks.

"Tomorrow if possible." I tell him. He only hums in response.

"Well then, miss (y/n) let's start." He motions for me to sit on a stool next to the table as he walks to the other side, pulling out a tailoring tape measure.

He begins to take measurements and writing them down on a note pad on the table. It's quite so I decide to watch Touka as she looks around at the masks, taking a few off of the wall and trying them on herself before moving onto the next one. A small smile rests on my face as I watch her, realizing how wrong most humans really are about ghouls.

'They're all just trying to survive. They still have feelings and they live their lives just like we do.' Images of Kaneki and Nishiki at Anteiku pop into my mind, followed by memories of me spending time with Hinami after her parents dies, trying to make her happy, and even Shuu and his oddness.
