*Alien planet*

With wickedly sharp rocky outcrops sticking sideways out of the desert ground. The Doctor, {Y/N} and Clara are chained to ornately carved pillars as twin suns beat down.

"There's no way out of this. We're going to die here" Clara says.

"Pass me the vibro-cutters" the Doctor replies.

"They're in my pocket."

"Come on then, pass them to me."

"In my other jacket. At home."

"Why have you got two jackets? Is one of them faulty?"

"Look, I don't have the vibro-cutters. If I had the vibro-cutters, I wouldn't be able to pass you the vibro-cutters. We're going to starve to death out here."

"Of course, we won't starve. The sand piranhas will get us long before that" {Y/N} says.

*Pub*

Clara enters and goes to Danny's table.

"Hiya. Sorry, I'm late" Clara says as the two kiss.

"You're not. You're brown. You're very brown. You weren't that brown this morning."

"Sunbed. I'll get 'em in. Usual?

*Clara's flat*

Clara is about to go out when {Y/N} pops her head out of the TARDIS.

"Fish people."

"What are they like?"

"Fish. And people. Come and see.

*Taxi*

"How are you?" Clara asks getting into the taxi.

"Evening. Nice frock. It's a bit wet" Danny says.

"Freak shower."

"Is that seaweed?"

"I said freak."

*Corridor*

Clara, {Y/N} and the Doctor are running as lasers are shot at them.

"How much further?" Clara asks.

"TARDIS has got to be round this corner. I hate soldiers. Don't you hate soldiers?" the Doctor asks.

"Yeah."

"Just keep running!" {Y/N} says.

*Clara's flat*

Clara opens the front door to see Danny.

"Oh, yeah. Danny. Hiya."

"Morning. Ready to run?"

"Mmm hmm."

*Clara's bedroom*

Clara is out of breath and completely drenched in sweat.

"I can't keep doing this. I can't do it. Yes, I can, I can do it, of course, I can do it. I've got it all under control."

*TARDIS*

Clara enters and the Doctor and {Y/N} look at her.

"So, where we off to?" Clara asks.

"Clara, you, you look lovely today. Have you had a wash?" the Doctor asks.

"Why are you being nice?"

"Because it works on you. Listen, we're sorry but there's going to be no trip today. We're sorry. Er, we've got to do a thing. It might take a while."

"What thing?" {Y/N} keeps the scanner with the flashing red light out of Clara's view.

Just a thing" {Y/N} replies.

"You're both being mysterious, and do you know what means?"

"We're people of mystery," the Doctor says.

"Hmm. It means that you are both very clever making the mistake, common to very clever people, of assuming that everybody else is stupid. Where are you both going?" Clara grabs the scanner and the Doctor switches it to the view of the galaxy.

"Undercover. Deep cover" {Y/N} says.

"Can you two do deep cover?"

"What do you mean?" the Doctor asks.

"Have you seen you two?"

"Of course, we can do deep cover."

"Where, the Magic Circle?" Clara asks giggling, the Doctor snaps his fingers, and the TARDIS doors open.

"We'll see you when we see you" Clara snaps her fingers, and they close again.

"When's that?" the Doctor snaps his fingers once again and the TARDIS doors open.

"When we see you."

"Hmm. Hmm. I'll be sure to have a wash."

"Excellent. I was meaning to bring it up" Clara leaves, shutting the doors than opens them again and points meaningfully at her eye before finally leaving. The Doctor calls up the glowing area on the map which is on the scanner - East London.

"Should we actually tell her?" {Y/N} asks with her arms crossed.

"Where's the fun in that?" the Doctor asks.

"Well, I don't think that is much fun" {Y/N} replies looking at the scanner and sighing.

*Time skip*

At Coal Hill, the boys are playing football where they shouldn't as the teachers arrive.

"You lot! Not here. Over there."

"Morning, Mister Pink."

"Morning, Courtney. And good morning, Miss Oswald."

"Morning, Mister Pink" the group of girls by the entrance giggle as Danny and Clara walk past.

"Do they know?" Clara asks.

"Possibly. They're children. It's like they've got minds of their own. Are you ok?"

"Yeah, course I'm ok. Why wouldn't I be ok?"

"I dunno. Every time I see you, it's like you're..."

"What?"

"In a rush. In a state. In a space helmet, one time."

"Sorry. Er, I've had a thing and, er, the thing's gone, so I'm all yours."

"What thing? What's gone?"

"Nothing."

"It's like you're trying to be mysterious. I'm not stupid, you know."

"The next few days are all about you. I promise" Clara moves in closer, but pupils giggle at the end of the corridor, so she walks away.

*Time skip*

"Which means, Jo, you'll have to cover for 8/4M in L3. Hold on, there is just one more thing. Atif's off sick, so we've got two newbies, I did ask them to come along" suddenly there's knocking on the door "ah, here they are" two people in brown coveralls enter one is holding a broom.

"We're the new caretakers. John and Mary Smith" the Doctor says.

"Welcome to Coal Hill, Mister and Mrs Smith" Danny greets.

"Thanks. Yes, John Smith's the name. But, you know, here's a thing. Most people just call me the Doctor."

"And most people call me {Y/N}" she winks at Clara "so, if anybody needs us, just, you know, give us a shout. We'll be in the storeroom just getting the lie of the land" the staff leave the room.

"Yes, nobody's taking any notice at all. Absolutely good news because it means we must be coming across just as absolutely boring human beings like you" the Doctor says, Clara mouths What are you doing here? The Doctor shuts the door on her.

"Deep cover. Deep cover" {Y/N} mutters.

"Do you know them?" Danny asks as he and Clara walk down the halls.

"Know who?"

"The caretakers."

"Never seen them before in my life."

"Bit intense looking, the Doctor. Did you see those eyebrows? Also Did {Y/N} wink at you?"

"No, I think that was just a sort of general wink, you know? She winked at everybody. It was a general welcoming wink. Ah, I have, er, left some marking. Assembly. Chop-chop. Off you pop. Catch you in a bit. Excuse me" Clara quickly runs off.
