The Caretaker Pt. 6

"I would say yes, I'm afraid Courtney is a disruptive influence," Danny says.

"Yeah, but last year you said she was a very disruptive influence."

"So, I suppose that counts as an improvement" Danny spots {Y/N} and the Doctor at the doors. Danny coughs and Clara looks up and sees the Doctor gesturing to them.

"Excuse me, I think the caretakers want me," Danny says.

"Sorry, Mrs Christodolou, I think, er, I think the caretakers want me too," Clara says.

"But what about my Angelina?"

"Yeah, she's great, yeah, a really great girl, A plus, ten out of ten, top of the class. Sorry. Although, actually, handwriting could be better" Danny and Clara run out.

"I'm sure they'll be back in a moment."

"Looks like our Courtney was right about those two."

"What's happening?" Clara asks.

"Clara, the vortex is opening" {Y/N} says.

"You said Thursday night. Right, hall, quick" Danny says.

"PE, shut up. Clara, it'll scan the area. If it gets to parents' evening, it'll kill them all" the Doctor says.

"We've got to evacuate," Danny says.

"Shut up!"

"Quickly. What do I do?" Clara asks.

"It'll be here any second. Get to the hall" {Y/N} says as she gives Clara her sonic screwdriver "give it some squirts of helicon energy, setting number forty-one. No more than three seconds each, random pulses. Distract it, then you lead it away from the hall, give us two minutes."

"Then what?"

"Just run straight to the TARDIS."

"But your gadget isn't ready yet. Twenty-four hours, you said" Danny says.

"Yes, well, I've revised that down to two minutes. Probably. Clara, go."

"On my way."

"You're using her like a decoy?"

"No, not like a decoy. As a decoy. Don't they teach you anything at stupid school?" the Doctor asks.

"Well, is there anything I can do?"

"Yes. Yes, and this is very, very important. Leave us alone!"

Clara looks into the school hall to see the Blitzer in the vortex.

"Disrupt temporal lock. Disengaged scan."

"Here we go" she waves the sonic screwdriver.

"Incoming stop identified Helicon Helicon commence retargeting" It chases Clara.

*Corridor*

Danny sees Clara run past the top of the corridor.

"Target acquired. Destroy" the Blitzer trundles past.

*Playground*

Clara squirts more Helicon.

"Target within range" she runs into the Caretaker's storeroom "problem-solution destroy" It destroys the door "destroy. Destroy."

"Doctor, {Y/N}, now! It's got to be now!" Clara shouts.

"Twenty seconds!" {Y/N} shouts.

"Destroy. Destroy."

"Doctor! {Y/N}!" Clara dodges the weapons fire while {Y/N} helps the Doctor on with the backpack.
