EXTENDED SUMMARY:
Romeo Verona was, by definition, a bit of a rebel. He moved to Hawkins when he was twelve and since then had made approximately two friends. Now, in his senior year of high school, the weirdest thing happened: Steve Harrington and Nancy Wheeler, Hawkins's token it-couple, broke up. It just so happens that the day of the infamous break up, Romeo runs into Steve in the showers; Steve after basketball and Romeo after football. The weird new kid, Billy, had just left meanwhile Steve was sulking still. After the locker room process, Steve and Romeo just stayed and talked, talked until the janitor kicked them out, and it was nice. For the first time, Romeo had a friend that wasn't only hanging out with him to avoid bullies. What he didn't expect was that behind Steve's countless jokes about his name, there was an actual feeling there. And as much as he liked to deny the fact he possessed emotions, he might have an actual feeling there, too.
NOTES:
- So, this doesn't have to go into season three, but since the plot starts so late in season two, it might just be better overall!
- Romeo is very much like Heath's character from 10 Things I Hate About You, except less of an outward romantic
- He's very hidden about his feelings, but you can have this change over the course of the story because character development is so so important!
- Besides the name puns, there isn't much to do with Romeo & Juliet! The romance part of this story is actually very flirty and sweet! There's no room for angst in this house!
- Romeo is gay, he knows this, he just doesn't tell people for obvious reasons! His mom knows and his dad isn't really involved in his life so he doesn't
- His two friends are these little freshman that hang out with him to be protected from bullies a.k.a people like Billy, so they shouldn't be much older than the kids, I would recommend casting them as like kids from Freaks and Geeks, but that's just me
