Dawn Haller had a nasty habit of playing people who liked her. She would go on a few dates with them, get scared of pursuing something more, and flake out. And it wasn't like she did this on purpose. She was just too scared. Until she meets Nancy Wheeler, and even though her brain tells her to leave, she can't help but stay for once. Well, for now at least.
EXTENDED SUMMARY:
— heavily based off of "i want you" by marian hill bc it is a confirmed bop
— so yes, dawn is kind of a player. but it's bc she's way too scared to pursue anything other then casual kissing and hand holding. also nancy will be her first female partner! she's a disaster bisexual with a preference towards men lads 🤠
— she meets nancy at the halloween party, and is the one who delivers her to jonathan. jonathan says he's "got it covered" but dawn is still worried even when nancy goes home with him
— she becomes a good friend to Nancy after this and helps her process the death of barb. evantually, nancy confesses the real reason barb died to dawn, but it should be pretty far into the season
— dawn had very bad anxiety and had a midlife crisis like every episode. so when nancy tells her about the upside down, she's pretty shaken up and doesn't talk to nancy for a while
— but they DO get a happy ending bc we love bi queens!
