EXTENDED SUMMARY:
Jolene "Joey" Mclaren was absolutely tired of having her heart broken. Granted, half the time the people doing the breaking had no idea they were doing it. One of those people had been the unsuspecting Robin Buckley who Joey had been admiring since sophomore year. Seniors now in the summer of 1985, Joey can't help but spend just a little too long deciding on an ice cream flavor when she's out with her friends at Star Court Mall. However, when a new fling enters the picture, Joey wonders if it's truly time to move on. The only problem? As much as she would love to move on from a girl who has no idea she exists, she is so, one-hundred-percent-whipped.
NOTES:
— so the new fling isn't anyone from the show it's another oc! His name is Maddox (at least it was when I used to write this but you can change it) and I had him played by Tom Holland! Really just any boy who looks really kind and sweet!
— Joey is bisexual! Maddox isn't just a beard! But the whole point of the song this is based off of (Another Love by Tom Odell) is that she can't love because she's already broken over someone else which in this case is Robin
— She should have at least one solid best friend of either gender that she used to have a crush on (again she's dealt with a lot of past heartbreaks) but she doesn't have any feelings anymore and sometimes they joke about it because they're super comfortable with each other and yeah just give her a strong friendship this girl needs it
— You can decide if/when she gets involved with the plot of season three!
