In which pretty and popular Peyton Kline lies about everything including her love for girls and secret wish to die.
EXTENDED SUMMARY:
Peyton Kline wanted to die. Not in the sense she was too fend up with school and homework or she was tired of boring old Hawkins, no, the girl wanted to be buried in a cemetery six feet under with maggots and worms feasting on her cold flesh. She wanted people to miss her and feel sorry such a young and gorgeous girl like the blonde had been taken too soon. She wanted to die young when her skin was still taut and her body wasn't saggy and sad. Maybe it was an odd desire, but the girl had been obsessed with death ever since her mother died years ago. But there was one flaw in her death wish, she still had to win prom queen.
But then she met Robin one hot summer day and she made her head whirl. Robin was an enigma hidden behind band t-shirts and dark jeans and Peyton was an All-American small-town beauty queen who, much to her denial, loved girls. It wasn't until she got stuck with Robin and a party of kids accompanied by their babysitter on a journey to stop the dark mystery of Hawkins did she truly realize just what it meant to live.

- she's the daughter of the mayor who is going to be introduced in season 3. he's supposed to be a bad person, so keep that in mind. she hates her dad because he cheated on his wife which led her to take her life because she not only had mental health problems but she was tired of the neglect. peyton actually saw her mom kill herself which led to her own problems.
- she's rich
- she masks her hurt with her popularity. she's one of the most popular girls in school and she's running for prom queen. she's dating a guy who cheats on her and she knows he cheats on her but she doesn't care because she doesn't feel anything for him.
- she meets robin at her workplace where i assume is when robin is pulled into the stranger things plot. (I haven't watched it yet obviously because it's not out yet, but when it does you can tweak a few things)
- she has internalized homophobia because she refuses to believe she is a lesbian because her father (i assume) is homophobic. ig he turns out to not be homophobic, then you can make it because she doesn't want to lose her status because it's all she has.
- she is never fixed by another person, in fact, her depression and suicidal thoughts actually push her away from a relationship with robin.
- in the end, i would like for her to realize she must fix herself and she must realize she wants to live after being almost killed for the whole season.
- she should go get help in the end for her mental health. she accepts she likes girls and she embraces her sexuality.
-her father will never accept her, so she takes it into her own hands and gets herself help.
