EXTENDED SUMMARY:
MAYBE AOIFENuñez liked to look at life through hopeless romantic eyes and maybe, just maybe, she hoped it was just one (very long) movie where she met her soulmate before the credits rolled. Call her crazy, but she couldn't have cared less. She knew there was someone out there for her just waiting to throw rocks at her bedroom window or someone who'd chase her down before she boarded the plane. There just had to be. Otherwise, what the hell was the point of living if not being able to die for love?
She knew it wasn't all sugar and spice and everything nice, which was fine, because obviously there had to be some tragedy intertwined with an epic romance otherwise it wouldn't be real. That was why she loved everything about Shakespeare's plays. They showed real love. Sure, some of the characters were wildly stupid, but who wouldn't want a total epic romance like Romeo and Juliet . . . except, you know, without the death part (but whatever)? Maybe it was the theater buff in her or the fact that she adored being up on stage acting out plays, but she knew deep down that if she didn't experience a love like that at least once in her life, then she was going to have a serious talk with Shakespeare himself.
By the looks of things, Shakespeare was going to have one angry thirteen-year-old on his hands if he didn't make Cupid shoot someone with an arrow and give her the love of her life. Except maybe he had listened to her, but she hadn't noticed. Maybe, just maybe, if she opened her eyes she'd see Cupid's arrow hadn't struck her Romeo, but instead hit the new girl, Max Mayfield, and she was too blind to see it.

━ the title is embarrassing. i'm so sorry. i literally have one brain cell and i had no idea what to title it, so please change it unless you like it then whatever.
━ i don't really have that many notes since this is quite a simple yet cute plot which i love. also i want to see how others interpret it, so i'm leaving it mostly up to the writer.
━ ok so aoife is this BIG theater buff and she's basically the lead in every play at hawkins middle. and that year, they're putting on romeo and juliet which gets her even more engrossed in the idea of a soulmate.
━ while she's practicing during lunch one day, max comes into the theater room because it's basically this big open space and she thought no one would be there. max wanted to eat alone because she has no friends at the beginning and just wanted to get away from anyone. BUT aoife is there and that's how they meet.
━ aoife is super sweet and nice and just an overall extrovert, so when max comes in, she immediately tries to befriend her. max kind of appreciates this because no one has really tired to talk to her. they quickly become friends and basically max comes in every day to eat lunch while aoife runs her lines. max even helps her with running her lines.
━ aoife doesn't really understand why she likes max so much and why she enjoys spending so much time with her, because she's sort of always had this idea of falling for a boy so when she falls for max she has no idea what's going on and just thinks that's how you're supposed to be around friends.
━ when the boys are looking for dart, it comes into the theater room and max is running after it, so aoife tries to help which sort of gets her involved with the party. now, mike HATES this because not only is there one girl joining the party but she's bringing her friend too.
━ max & aoife are practically inseparable so where one goes, the other follows.
━ max will still go with lucas but she'll always be thinking that she might have feelings for aoife. when she breaks up with lucas, that's when she kinda realizes "oh i feel relieved now i can spend more time with aoife". aoife, however, realized her feelings for max in s2 but she tried to ignore them. but like you don't have to carry it into s3, you can just stop at the end of s2.
━ at the end of season 2, aoife should get injured but she'll survive. however, no one knows that at the time, so i want her to say something to max from the romeo and juliet play that they rehearsed at the beginning. this should be sort of like a confession of love without actually saying it.
━ when aoife recovers, max will ask her what she meant when she thought she was going to die, but aoife gets scared so she just tells her she's just really glad they're friends and that's why she said what she said.
━ can they PLEASE dance at the snow ball. it doesn't even have to be in a romantic way!! they just have that type of relationship and it's adorable! please!
